Daily comic?

I'm thinking about making my weekly comic nobody reads into a daily comic. In case you haven't seen it yet, it's here. Sure, daily comics would mean more work, but I seem to like drawing them, but it's hard coming up with ideas for it. I've written 6 days' worth of comics from March 30-April 4 and queued them, but i don't know whether i can think of more. I probably can, but i'll take a few days off from drawing and come back to it. I also have comics queued for March 22, March 29, April 5, and April 12, so the weekly ones will definitely continue (even though nobody seems to read them.) And since nobody reads them, please check back now, and this Sunday for them.

Probably the main reason I don't keep up on it is due to the choice of hoster you have. comicgenesis is one of those sites that require visitors to leave referrals and crap or you get blank images. While they argue it's needed for their anti-hotlinking system I doubt it's truly needed if they'd implement their anti-hotlinking in better ways. In the end I can't be assed around to making exceptions over it etc...

But more to the reason for me replying, if you're going to try to increase the speed you're releasing your comic, I recommend you get yourself a healthy backlog of comics made beforehand. This is the case, no matter what speed you release at, be it 1/day or 1/month -- you just need more for the 1/day rate ;)

I'll eventually be relaunching my crappy comic that I did back in 2000-2001 this way eventually, but I'm still working on my website's redesign. ;)

What do you mean by referrals?

Is there another comic-hosting site that I could move it to?

I meant referrers. Half asleep when I was typing this morning. ;) Based on the "help" page for broken images with keenspace sites, that's the most likely cause. I know I had trouble downloading music from a couple of band websites that also for some reason required referrers for downloads.

As for alternatives, I dunno. I just host my comic on my own website and do the updating manually which would be a pain in the butt back in 2000-2001 with all the html editing. I'm planning on using php to help with that before I restart mine so that all I'll have to do is update the comic and perhaps a txt file associated with it. ;) If I find one while surfing around the web, I'll let you know.
