Well, I went to Best Buy and saw something i could not pass up: The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour: The Best of Season 3. This goes good with my Laugh-In and Old School Sesame Street volume 1. Well, anyway, I've also some Smothers Bros. records I play sometimes, so it's good to have the show that I never got to see (the late '60s one. My dad taped a few episodes of the '80s revival series.) So I've got a lot of Smothers Brothers stuff to watch. Is there anything else from that time period i should be looking for? I wish they'd release the first few episodes of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood on DVD. It'd be fun to see those, especially the very first one.

Thanks for posting this. Did NET not broadcast in color TV in 1968? Sesame Street's first episode in 1969 was in color.

Not sure. I was born in '69 and always remember it being in color. If you look at the first 5 episodes on that site, they are all in B&W. Probably the entire 1st season was B&W.

As far as other stuff goes, you can't go wrong with Captain Kangaroo.
