Tomorrow's the big day. Mom's hired some people to paint the walls and ceiling, strip the wallpaper off, and remove the carpet in the bathrooms and kitchen. The work starts tomorrow and they said that they'll be working for the next 8 days. This is going to be hard on me, as well as the dog (the dog will have to stay in the garage. He's going to bark his head off.) They're supposed to be coming at 9am to start the massive undertaking. Mom says this needs to be done, while I personally don't care what the place looks like. I guess that's the difference between men and women, huh? She says we might want to sell the place someday so we can move closer into town. Right now, we're right next to the southern city limits of Salem, it takes about 20 minutes to drive to downtown, and it's an equal drive to the Lancaster Drive area, which is where everything is in Salem. So, the next week or so, I expect it to be quite hectic around here.
