The Big Project: Day 8
Well, the floors in the kitchen and entryway are almost done. The floor in the master bedroom is replaced, and so is the one in the hall bathroom, but the hall bathroom needs a new light fixture. I don't see how touching the light switch can shock me, but I'm not going to touch it anyway. Mom was here all day, and she went and got me Burger King while the guys were out for lunch. Apparently, it was much hotter than they said it was going to be, I'm sitting here with the fan on. I was going to watch the local noon news, but I couldn't because the Michael Jackson funeral was on all three stations. You'd have thought the president had died with all the coverage Michael has been getting. I just wish he could Beat It and get the heck over all this to get back to our normal lives. We have started to put the furniture back, but it certainly does look weird with the fridge, dishwasher and oven in the living room. Hopefully this will all be done in the next few days. I'm sick of strangers working in here leaving the door open, the cat might get out, or insects will come in. I hate bugs.
