So I go to Wal-Mart and I bought a SpongeBob CD (SpongeBob's Greatest Hits), and put it in my computer, only to find that the data that Windows Media Player displays is from the movie soundtrack. Um, wrong! Well, anyway, I'm listening to the Peanuts X-Mas CD by the Vince Guaraldi Trio as I'm typing this, while burning a copy of Disney's DTV Valentines Day special for someone in the living room. And guess what? When it's over, I have to rewind it and do it again! Yay! </sarcasm> The show is about an hour long, so it shouldn't take more than 2 hours. I really don't like that special. The songs are stupid ("I Just Called To Say I Love You", "Hello", "Dress You Up", etc.) I'm surprised the tape has held up good quality for 23 years. The thing was taped on Valentine's Day in 1986, you know, back when the big three networks actually celebrated holidays (other than Christmas) with animated childrens' specials. I especially don't like 80s music. It's my least favorite recent musical decade. 00s has Dream Theater, 90s has Beck, 70s has Yes, 60s has Donovan and the Smothers Bros., so you know. I'm ranting again, aren't I? Until next time...

I disagree as well. The 80s is where it's at, though I also like music from the 70s and 60s.

For me 90s was the boring music decade. Wasn't until the 00s that I once again found interesting new groups such as Placebo, The Presets, Dangerous Muse, Ladytron, Shiny Toy Guns, Freezepop, Chromeo and most recently The Faint.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. I have every Beck CD album (except the bootleg ones), and I must say that Mutations is my favorite one. As for '80s music I like, the only thing that comes to mind is the Eurythmics (Sweet Dreams), and barely into the 80s (1980) is Funkytown by Lipps, Inc. And how could you not like Yes, (especially Tales From Topographic Oceans)? I like the Atari 2600 music from the '80s, too. :ponder:

Wrong side of the planet I guess, my 90s sounded like this:
