I'm planning on seeing Placebo in Austin in September, followed by Moby and KMFDM in Houston in October.

Whoah, Moby! I'm green with envy!

 

Did you already manage to organize the Placebo trip?

Moby's good, I've seen him before at a larger venue(this show's going to cozier - at Warehouse Live, where I saw Ladytron). Dirty Vegas was the opening act, it was my first exposure to them - they put on a very energetic performance.

 

Haven't scheduled the trip for Placebo yet, Austin's only a 3 hour drive so it's not difficult to make plans. There's a slight chance I might not be able to go - my dad's job is moving them to Trinidad and they'll be coming through Houston in September. At the moment their schedule doesn't conflict, but it's quite possible their dates will change. Mom's going to stay with me a few months, their dogs have to go thru 5 months of treatments to ensure they don't have rabies before they're be allow on the island.

Unfortunately The Damned are avoiding Germany this year as well. It seems the dates were planned, but that leg of the tour got canceled. They're now just going down on the European west coast, visiting Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Spain.

 

Ah well, maybe next year!

Oh dear my American friends, the U.S. tour just got cancelled completely:

 

Due to circumstances beyond our control, THE DAMNED regret to announce the cancellation of all of their October / Halloween U.S tour dates.

 

As of today, the band’s U.S. Visas were still not approved, thus forcing the immediate cancellation of the entire tour.

 

We are devastated to be disappointing our fans in the U.S. who wished to see us on this tour, and sympathize with all those who have made travel arrangements and other commitments.

 

On a more positive sidenote, I just learned that Therapy? will be visiting Augsburg in mid November. Been quite a while since I last saw them.
