Bus Passes
I was looking through my website when I noticed I had a section about the Salem-Keizer bus system known as "Cherriots", a play on the word "Chariots" and "cherry" (Salem is/was known as a cherry producing city, hence all the local companies whose titles start with "Cherry City") And then I noticed my bus pass collection just sitting there. So I put two and two together, scanned the collection and put it up on my website. I know you probably don't care about bus passes, but these have pretty local pictures on them, that is, until January of 2006 when they changed them to boring bland passes. You can view the semi-complete collection @ the Cherriots website I made here. Tomorrow I'm going to the library to get some microfiche pictures of the paper from when the bus system first started in 1979. Hmm, you'd think there would be a 30th anniversary celebration, but I guess it isn't all that important, either that or it didn't start until 1981. I'm not really sure when it started. I have to keep myself occupied with stuff other than Atari sometimes. Oh, and on that website you can see Transit Man, Salem's transit lame superhero-type person, as well as old bus schedules from the '80s I found. It's a bus-load of fun.
