Thanks for the kind comments. There was another cancellation, so Mom can get him in at 5pm today instead of Saturday at 1.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. I remember when my family had to do the same thing to our miniature spaniel Lady. She was dying of bladder cancer and suffered greatly. You have the right mindset about this choice of action being the right one. Your dog will be in a better place where there will be no pain.

I'm sorry to hear that. I dread the day when I'll have to go through this with my best friend of 12 years and counting. Remember all the good times together.

Aw, man! That sucks. You are looking at it from the right perspective, which is good, but yeah, it's still a difficult thing. Sounds like he had a good life, which is a good thing.

I just said goodbye to the dog, mom is on her way to the vet. I told him goodbye, i love him and that i'm gonna miss him. I don't think that I could handle seeing him go to sleep for the last time. Mom is very brave for doing this, but she admitted that it was the best thing to do. RIP Zeke, 1998-2010.

I hate losing pets. I don't know if I could have waited several days for a pet to be put to sleep. I'd probably cry the whole time, knowing they were gonna be gone on a certain day at a certain time.

 

Hang tough, man. I'm sure if Zeke could talk, he'd tell you he doesn't want you to be sad.
