Hi there!
Okay... apparently someone tried to digitize pictures again with the C64...
Going at maximum risk once again (my wife almost caught me ), I've been playing yet another Strip Poker game. It's the sequel to, you may have guessed it, "Hollywood Poker".
Well, the Amiga version had those awesome digitized pictures of real women (albeit from Hannover, not Hollywood), but I thought the C64 version should be more interesting. (It wasn't.)
Like previous digitizing disasters on the C64, for example the legendary Samantha Fox Strip Poker, the pictures of course look horrible. They tried some kind of Hires/Interlace/Flicker trick, so I assume on a real TV it's a little better, but I don't think it helps much.
The game is basically your standard Strip Poker game. The only new feature I've seen was the ability to zoom the pictures. Otherwise the best part is the music from Chris Hülsbeck.
I won against 2 of the 4 women, Myriam and Ines, but rather don't post pictures of the endings. If you must see them, get the Remember crack and boot from the second disk, they added a slideshow tool there
Some future day the "Playing..." series may see another Strip Poker game in the form of "Teenage Queen", but first it'll continue with something else.
Greetings,
Manuel
