A Bad Week on eBay
Well, I bought two items and they both had problems. First of all I had this Atari lot shipped to me with no padding at all and two systems were total losses:

I also bought a power supply for my old PC (which is a Linux box now and my wife actually has the exact same machine as her desktop) and it arrived non-working with three CDs that I didn't ask for. Took me a while to figure it out and then I wrote this message:
This power supply does not work. I have installed more than afew of them and this one was correctly hooked up and tested
faulty on TWO identical machines. Additionally, the power
supply arrived with a screw rattling around inside, which could
not have been good for it (and it took me a good long time to
get it out). Bottom line: it doesn't work. I noticed that you offer
returns but I have to pay for the shipping, but that really isn't
worth it for a $5 product. Not to mention the fact that you paid
$3.94 to have the heavy power supply shipped here--is that
why the three crappy CDs were in there--so you could claim it
was media mail, get a reduced rate, and pocket an extra 4
bucks? (I paid $8 for shipping.) I will be leaving negative
feedback and filing a claim if a full refund, including shipping, is
not issued. This is one of the worst instances of
unprofessionalism I have seen on eBay in my decade-plus of
buying and selling, all for a $4.99 item. Ridiculous.
The seller promptly issued a refund, but I am still waiting for my other refund. Grrr.
I think I need to take an eBay break!
OK, OK, I did score one nice eBay deal. I have been looking for a 2600 Star Ship, boxed, for a long time. I was not insisting on gatefold, but since this one came along...
