I've always wanted one of these, but I've been scared to death of buying one because they cost a bajillion dollars. I don't know why, it just looks kind of interesting, and I've always wanted to see what a cartridge looks like, but I'm going to bite the bullet and actually buy one of these, even though Best Buy refuses to discount it. That is, after my stupid dentist's appointment. Yes, it's been 6 months already, and god forbid I don't come to see them every 6 months. They have some sort of fetish of annoying their patients by forcing them to come in every 6 months even though the insurance will only cover a yearly visit, so they do some sort of backroom deal or something to get everyone in in 6 months. I don't know. Well, anyway, back to the Didj. With only 15 games out now, and Leapfrog's slowness of releasing new games (only 4 new games have come out since I forgot about the system a year ago.) I think it'd be safe to say that I can have a complete collection in about 6 months or so. I've been cruising LeapFrog's website and apparently, they're gearing this handheld system towards girls. Why do I get this impression? Well, in a FAQ question it says to reconfigure "your daughter's profile." Oh sure, I bet daughters all across America would just love playing "Star Wars: Jedi Trials" or "Wolverine and the X-Men". But, there are girly games on this thing, too, in the forms of "Hannah Montana" and "High School Musical". So, I don't know what LeapFrog's marketing ploy is here. Well, anyway, that's it for today, unless I buy one and you guys are interested in pictures of me opening the box and stuff.
