I did it.
I bought a Didj. Not as expensive as I thought it would be. Can't beat that. The older games were less expensive than the newer ones, so I got an older one. I was expecting to spend about $100. Total cost (system + one game): $85. Why did I buy one of these? It just looked interesting. The idea of educational games (there's now 15 of them). I wonder how many of these have sold so far. I was curious as to what a Didj cartridge looked like: It's like a DS card, only a little bit bigger. I need 4 AA batteries. For those curious, here's what it came with: A USB port and CD (to hook it up to your computer to customize it), and some paper. Game sold seperately. Here is everything on my SpongeBob bed (not so surprisingly, I got a SpongeBob game, "Fists of Foam"). I have been looking up information on the Didj and it appears that lots of grown-ups have bought the system so they can hack into it. I don't think I have the skills necessary to do this, although it would be neat to. I also want to someday make a Grand Theft Auto-type homebrew game for it. (You're a pimp with five hookers. Each hooker turns $200 per trick. Each hooker turns two tricks per night. How much money do you get in a week? LOL) Tomorrow: turning the system on for the first time and game play.
