Playing Human Killing Machine (C64)
Hi there!
Well, well... sometimes I play games because they're supposed to be good and sometimes...

...sometimes I just like watching a trainwreck ![]()
Now, what do we have here actually?
Imagine one of the worst developers on the planet, Tiertex, just delivered totally horrible home computer conversions of Capcoms Street Fighter. - The C64 version e.g. has a Lemon64 rating of 2.5! ![]()
With such a brilliant "game engine" already in hands, they had the fabulous idea of using it to make a Street Fighter clone ![]()
Of course, they ended up with a game that was at least as bad, only this time lacking the brand recognition ![]()
To get the only good thing I can say about it out of the way, it has really okay SID music. And while the backdrops in some of the stages look tolerable, it all goes downhill from there. The animation of all fighters is looking very bad in motion and any kind of playability is not existant.
I basically made it through the whole game (10 different fights) executing a single standard punch over and over again. (Whenever I tried doing anything different, the computer knocked me down with 1-2 hits
)
Of course, the game just loops back to the first fight, once you beat the last enemy...
Some future day the "Playing..." series may see another fighting game in the form of "Budokan", but first it'll continue with something else.
Greetings,
Manuel
