Back to the DS

I got Tetris Party Deluxe yesterday. IGN says the game isn't out yet. Anyway, I don't like it. Once you get to level 11, the blocks fall so fast you can't control them. What fun is it when you can't control the blocks? At least in the NES Tetris, I can go way farther than that. Same for the Virtual Boy version. In fact, in the Virtual Boy version, I usually start at level 19. Well, anyway, after thinking about selling most of my DS collection, I'm deciding to keep it and keep going. Right now, I'm at 148 DS games. Here's a list of upcoming/already released games I want for my collection:

+ Dementium II

+ Intellivision Lives!

+ Ivy the Kiwi? (The title includes the question mark.)

+ Picross 3D

and anything else that catches my eye.

Am going to GameStop on Friday (yes, I'm aware of what they do. They have games that no one else has, though.) I'm just sad though that the 3DS will replace the DS. Oh well, I guess it had to end sometime. But apparently the Wii, XBox 360 and PS3 aren't going to end. Hopefuly, the 3DS will be a flop just like the Virtual Boy and they'll have to go back to making regular DS games. Wouldn't that be something?

Since the 3DS will play DS (and DSi) games it is highly probable that third party studios will continue to release DS games until a significant number of 3DS handhelds are sold. I suspect any newly announced Nintendo created games will likely be 3DS exclusive.
