So, I turned a few of my Grandpa's old 45s into MP3s. I don't know why since he died a few years ago. Using Audacity, I put the title and artist info in. There's no year (I'm guessing early '50s.) And to my surprise, Windows Media Player found CDs that these old songs are on (it must think I'm using the CDs even though I'm not.) I mean, who ever heard of Al Hibbler? Yet, him warbling "He" is on a compilation CD. Remarkable. My only two songs in my 2-letter song title 45s collection are called "He", the same song by Al Hibbler, and then another version by the McGuire Sisters, which is apparently on their Greatest Hits collection. I think they turned out pretty good seeing as how these are (I'm guessing) 60-year-old records! Grandpa must have not played these very often, or something. It must have been a popular song back then. I'm still looking for a 45 of "If" by Perry Como. It does exist, I have seen it on eBay, but darned if I'll pay $10 for it!
