Double 2600 fun
Today, I got two things in the mail. The first was Guardian by Apollo Games. I have yet to try and actually play it because I need to find my paddles, but I put it in the Atari and it worked fine. The second one was the long-awaited Alien Greed 3 from Neo. And yes, I was one of the few lucky ones who got an ET Prototype cart included. And there's one thing though that bugs me: The game is harder on a real 2600 than it is on Stella. I guess now is the time to announce it, work on a fourth Alien Greed has begun. Tentatively called "Alien Greed Adventure", our little pal goes into a game of the classic 2600 game "Adventure" in search of carts, but while he did find some, he found more than he bargained for: The planet is filled with hideous-looking dragon ducks! Can our hero survive the dragon ducks and get as many carts as possible? I have just recently started this game, so I figure it should be out by early 2011 at the earliest. Although now that I think about it, there is another game out there based on Adventure: Duck Attack. Hmm... I tried to do an Alien Greed type game based on Pac-Man, but it didn't go so well.
