Mii and the Wii - 5 / 2010

Hi there!

Again not much to report. Good Wii games are getting rare these days and I was without a televison for a month.

The list of games I'm done with: Zelda TP, Excite Truck, Metal Slug Anthology, Geometry Wars, Bully :thumbsup:, Zack & Wiki :thumbsup:, SMG, Disaster :thumbsup:, MP 3 :thumbsup:, Fire Emblem :thumbsup:, Lego Indiana Jones, No More Heros :thumbsup:, MadWorld, Wario Land, RE:UC, Another Code :thumbsup:, Cursed Mountain :thumbsup:, RE: DC, Dead Space :thumbsup:, Muramasa, Silent Hill, Crystal Bearers, Red Steel 2, No More Heros 2 :thumbsup:

New entries in my Wii collection:

Metroid Other M => A truly wonderful game, showcasing probably the best graphics possible on the Wii. I loved every single minute, it felt like playing through an "Alien" movie :thumbsup:

Overlord => Hm... even though it took less than 6 hours to beat, I actually got bored first. A bit of a waste for all the excellent graphics and music.

Indiana Jones - Staff of the Kings => An impulse buy, for 12 Euro I just had to grab it. Nice enough for a license game, but probably rather short: After 90 minutes I'm already in the 3rd of 6 chapters :ponder:

Sid Meiers Pirates! => Ordered in july already it should arrive any minute now! :lolblue:

LEGO Harry Potter => Ready to go on the shelf.

Rainbow Islands (WiiWare) => Disappointing just like the other Taito WW offerings I tried. Well it is better than Arkanoid and Bubble Bobble, but still nowhere near something I'd recommend...

==========================================

My current shopping list:

Sin & Punishment 2 => It looks brilliant and I've been a Treasure fan for ages now :)

Prince of Persia => From all hearsay so far, this seems to be a surprisingly good game in the Wii version. I'll just give it a try.

Meager I know... if it helps any, here's the PS3 titles I plan on getting first:

Heavenly Sword, Stranglehold, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Oblivion, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

(My selection of interesting '2007' releases, which are still available on Amazon.)

==========================================

My future Hopelist:

Samurai Heroes 3 => Probably Capcoms last game for the Wii. Most likely it'll be a boring hack'n'slash'a'thon. Still, some hope.

The Tower of Shadow => Could this be a really good game or is it just some more gimmicky toying with a physics engine?

Micky Epic => Warren Spector is Warren Spector is Warren Spector.

Driver - San Francisco => I know I'm crazy :lol:

Zelda => Not expecting that much here, but well, I always wanted to try at least a second WM+ game after Red Steel 2...

Clayfighter/Descent/MDK2/Stonekeep => We'll see if Interplay will once deliver at least one of them :lolblue:

Greetings,

Manuel

Ack, I didn't realize Skyward Sword needs WM+. Sigh I'll still get it, but I hate spending $$ on add-ons.

Is there anything on the 3DS on your wishlist?

It's the only reason I haven't sold my Red Steel 2 bundle yet.

I've not yet decided if I should get one. It sounds very good, but when I think of all the head- and backaches I got from GBA gaming I'm not sure if I should do it :lust:

I think it'll take first hand experience to convince me or not.

I've been only loosely following some game infos, being most interested in REvelations:

Actually, it looks like the WM+ can be had from eBay for ~C$10, so that's not as bad as I thought.

I think Nintendo might offer another bundle option for Zelda. Of course, if you want to go the eBay route, you should possibly buy one quite a while before Zelda comes out, since the price for standalone dongles might rise then :lust:
