Well, I realized tonight that the two entries I'd made prior to this blog were still in draft (unpublished) status. They're two years old, so I went ahead and put them through, just to get my feet wet. Apparently I like to complain about feeling old. It's two years later now, and I only feel older. I need to stop complaining, it beats the alternative.
At any rate, I became a father on the 28th of September. The last much has been...challenging. I'm not quite sure how my wife does it. She's been...challenged...far more intensely than I have, yet she manages to have a much better attitude about it than I do. My hat's off to her. I couldn't have found a better wife, not in a million years. She's even told me that she thought it would be cool to have a couple of full-sized arcade cabinets in the house (I had never before mentioned such a thing...ever). She's one in a million.
My daughter is beautiful. Right now she basically just eats, sleeps and poops, but I'm guessing that's par for the course for a three week old. Changing diapers isn't so bad...you guys should try it. I'm still trying to figure out if she looks more like me or her mother. It would seem that she's a mixture, with some prominent traits from each of us. Personally, I'm hoping she looks more like her mother (I'd make a pretty ugly lady).
As far as gaming goes, there's not a whole lot to mention. I'm kind of Halo'd-out at this point. According to Raptr I've logged about 84 hours since the release day. That's a whole lot. Too many probably. I did manage to fire up the Wii this weekend. Probably the most noteworthy thing to say is that Castlevania Judgment is nowhere near as awful as I thought it was going to be. If you ignore the waggle controls and play it like a fighting game should be played (with standard controllers) it's actually pretty good. Konami could have definitely done a bit better with the visuals though. It looks like a subpar PS2 game in a lot of places, which is pretty inexcusable. Still, I had some fun with it.
Well, I think that's all for now. This old man needs to get some rest. Work is going to come early and I'm sure there will be some diaper duty tonight.
