black out
Well, when the power went out for a few seconds earlier in the day, I thought nothing of it. Then at about 9:30 last night, the power went out. this time it lasted about 2 2/3 hours. I sleep with the lights on. So when I woke up at about 9:45pm, I knew something was going on. Since I couldn't do anything electronic (which is pretty much everything), I just went back to sleep. It was cold, so I put on a long-sleeved shirt. (It was probably below freezing outside.) & went back to sleep, waiting for the electricity to come back on. At about 11:45, I woke up to this big huge noise. I thought it was New Years' fireworks, but a few seconds later, the lights and the computer came back on! Now that I knew the time, iI knew it wasn't New Years' fireworks. But 15 minutes later, I did hear them, happy to have the elecrticity and the heat back on, checked everything that was plugged in, had to reset a few clocks as well as the settings on my old CRT TV that I use for classic gaming. Everything seemed to be up on the up and up. Huzzah! Knowing everything was OK, I went back to sleep and woke up about 8 hours later and worked on Castle of Doom some more. I put an opening in it explaining the story. I also composed some music for the intro and in-game. Hopefully I can get those put in if someone will teach me how to program sound on the Virtual Boy, otherwise it will just be another silent game. I want to know how to put music in like the music in BLOX 2. Apparently, the know-howers at Planet Virtual Boy have taken the day off from visiting the website. It's pretty slow around here at AtariAge also. Hopefully, we can get rid of all this New Years celebration crap and get our lives back to normal so I can have someone to talk to.
