game.com initial impressions
I am now a proud owner of a game.com! The huge package arrived on my doorstep today. Luckily there didn't seem to be any wind (but now they're saying it could snow...). I opened the box. Inside was a CIB game.com and three games (one of which is Lights Out, which got packaged with the system.) So, I turn the unit on and, after adjusting the brightness, it works perfectly. Lights Out just proved to be too tough for me to play (I know how to play it, though.), so most of my first time with the system was solitaire, which is in the game.com itself. Funny thing, after wanting to play Lights Out (this is after a few seconds with the system on), putting it in the system, buttons didn't seem to do anything. For a lark, I tried pressing the screen, and it did something. Then it occured to me, this must be a touch-screen thing like the DS! And sure enough, I noticed a stylus attached to the system! I guess I'm not very observant. Who knew that Tiger Electronics had made a touch screen about 7 years before the DS! Well, anyway, after playing Solitaire, I guess I'll put in either Duke Nukem 3D or Resident Evil 2. I have never played a Resident Evil game before, so I don't know what I'll be facing. I do know that Duke Nukem is like Doom, so I figure if I search on the Internet, I'll find a God mode code to enter because I suck at those type of games.
