11 Bottles of 7-up on the wall...
What I did buy at the flea market today was this:
A 6-pack of 12 ounce bottles of 7-Up. It cost $5, but I think the cool part is that someone didn't have the nerve to throw away the cardboard packaging that came with it. So someone had kept it for all these years (I'm guessing the '70s perhaps?) and now it's mine. I collect 7-Up merchandise. I think it's because it's my favorite soft drink. And I don't even like soft drinks. Something to look out for at flea markets I suppose. But I'll tell you what I'm NOT going to buy: A 7-Up pin collection for $45! That's just insane. My grandparents had a 7-up thermometer (I guess it's ours now) hanging on the side of the house where we can look out on it through the kitchen window. It still works, but I don't think it's accurate. I mean, it does go down when it's cold and rises in the heat. In addition to bottles of 7-Up, I also have the 7-Up video games featuring Spot, the '90s mascot. Well, I have most of them anyway. I still need to find Cool Spot for the SNES at a reasonable price and see what other systems he's appeared on. You might call me crazy for collecting empty bottles of 7-Up, but then again, you may be right...
