Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)

Yep, I have been playing this ever since I got my dogbone NES controller in the mail last week. And I beat it twice. I cheated, though (used two warp whistles to warp from world 2 to 7 to 8.) I guess I don't really need that many lives to beat it. I used to warp to world 7 and then max my lives to 99 of them using the trick in the fortress. I wonder if I could beat it if I didn't use warp whistles. Probably not! Right now I'm downloading the ending to SMB3 on my YouTube page. So what's next? I'll probably pull out my SNES and go ahead and make a video of me beating Super Mario Worlds 1 & 2. I don't think I can beat Super Mario 64. I did see the ending, back when I was a teen, I had one of my friends beat it for me. He got 117 stars, and it's been too long to remember which stars he missed. I have a question though: Once the Bowser ending animation ends and he has already plummeted to his own death, what would happen if Mario fell down the hole? Would he just die and you'd have to start the castle over again, or what? I've always wondered that. I haven't the foggiest idea what to type in to search for a video on that on YouTube. Anyway, I don't think I could beat Super Mario 64, because I'm not that good at judging the distance to throw Bowser into the bombs the first time around, not to mention the third! Some day I really should go through Super Mario 64, starting at the beginning and finishing it. I'd like to beat Super Mario Sunshine too, but after trying 5 billion times to defeat world 5-1 (the level where you have to defeat the giant shadow devil ray with deadly gunk sprayed around all over the place) and failing, I gave up. Oh look, my video has been downloaded. You can watch it here. And don't get me started on Super Mario Galaxy. I haven't been playing it, I got to the third level before I gave up. I do better with 2D Mario games than 3D ones, although I did beat New Super Mario Bros. for the DS, I have yet to beat level 4 of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, because it's too hard, so I gave up again. Why can't Nintendo make an easier 2D Mario game?

Super Mario 64 is one of my all time favorite games. I did get all 120 stars, although there were a couple of levels that took a lot of tries. If you return to one of the Bowser levels after defeating Bowser, he's still there. The third Bowser was tough 'cause he broke away a lot of the platform, leaving you with just a star. The trick with Bowser is to pick him up, line up with a star, then throw him closer to the star (without spinning), until you're close to the edge. Then the spin throw is much easier.

One of the cool thing about replaying SM64 is using the long jump & back flip to take short cuts.

I think I completed Sunshine, although I don't believe I finished everything & got all of the Shines. The most annoying thing for me were some of the Dark Mario levels you had to travel to, then if you died (or was it just exited) you had to go all the way back to the start of the world.

I think I also completed Galaxy, but I know I didn't finish everything (nor will I, some of those levels are tough). I've got Galaxy 2, but I haven't completed it yet and I suspect I won't finish it either.
