For handhelds, I've always gone with Nintendo. I can remember buying the first Game Boy as a kid. But after the Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance and DS, I'm ready for a change. After seeing good things from other handhelds I've gotten from the past that are new to me (Nokia's N-Gage, Tiger's Game.com, Sega's Game Gear), I've decided I might get a PS Vita if there are actually going to be games for sale at stores and not downloadable only. Here's a list of some announced games that interest me:

Gravity Daze

ModNation Racers

Sound Shapes

WipeOut

Of those four, I think Sound Shapes would interest me the most, since it is apparently a cross between Mario and Electroplankton. I have Electroplankton for the DS, but I can't do anything with it because it's the Japanese version and I can't read Japanese. If I decide to get a Vita, one of the games as a definite purchase near launch day (whenever that is), will be the new Wipeout game, and, if I have enough money, Gravity Daze. Oh sure, I can get a 3DS, but right now there's not very many interesting games for it, and it looks like the only ones that ever will would be New Super Mario Bros. 3DS and Mario Kart 3DS. On the Vita, I saw a screenshot of a game called ModNation Racers which looks like a kart racer. So, I'm ready for a change. And I have decided that I'm not getting a Wii U because it would have to be at least $350, while the Vita I want is $250. I'd be saving somewhere between $50-$100. Plus, there is apparently no network for the Vita, so I apparently wouldn't have to worry about hackers getting any personal data. I wish we could live in a world where people would act civilized and not have to hack into networks just for the thrill of it, but I guess we don't. Hackers could get just as much money by helping the untechsavvy with their problems. Just about everyone has a computer now, even my grandpa had one and he was over 80 years old before he died. Well, anyway, I'm about ready for a change.
