Frogger!
Well, I finally did it. Well, not me. OK, well, THEY finally did it. The post office delivered my long-awaited package. The girl on eBay said she couldn't ship it because her father was in the hospital. Lame excuse or not? You be the judge. Anyway, even though the package was 4 days after the estimated delivery date, I still gave her positive feedback because the game came (eventually
) and everything was in perfect sealed condition. Well, anyway, inside the package was Frogger for the game.com. I feel kind of guilty for opening (read destroying) the package just to get the game inside it. Frogger was a 1999 game.com release, so it's the non-boxed one. It comes in a clamshell case, so if you want the game inside, you have no choice but to semi-destroy it. I kept the packaging anyway because I want a complete boxed game.com collection. And the game worked perfectly, or as perfect as the game.com allows
. I couldn't see the snakes slithering around the screen at first, and kept wondering why I was dying for no good reason. And I still don't know the difference between the "updated" and "classic" versions apart from different-looking cars. And there is what I call a Lynx mode where you can flip the screen! I'm right-handed, so I couldn't care less. Well, anyway, I now have a dozen game.com games if you count the pack-in game Lights Out. I guess it's now uphill in prices at this point, so I'll have to pay more if I want a complete boxed collection.
