OK, here's the deal. I've been without a scanner for about three weeks because it finally decided to keep act like a moron in the ultimate way: It said the paper was jammed even though I took the paper out. Before that, it had been acting like a moron by getting ink stains in the corner of each printed page. So I said "That's it!" and it's sitting in the garage. So, today I get home with a new scanner. It was only $90, but it works well. I've only printed one page (the mandatory print test, which then it told me to scan the print test, so I did.) Since then, I've scanned two things to the computer and it works wonders. I kind of need a scanner if I intend to continue http://chrisread.comicgenesis.com, my comic strips page. I drew a week's worth using Paint, and, although it does color good, my drawings look even worse than if I had used a pen and paper. (Yes, I'm quite aware of the fact that nobody except me and my mom visit the site, but feel free to anyway. If you do, tell me how I'm doing.) And I didn't register the scanner yet, do you think I should?
