Hi there!Uihjah... long time no see of this feature... well, Nintendo and Sony are still very slow on releasing games striking my interest.Well, ok, as you might remember, I'm tracking here my little private handheld war, with the result helping me decide which of the two new portables I should buy (maybe I should say, "buy first", as I might get the other one as well - a year or two down the road...)Originally my deadline was Christmas, but since both handhelds don't have any RPGs available so far at all, I prolonged the race at least until my birthday in february (I can still play Fire Emblem Sacred Stones on the GBA until then ;)).Ok, so the last standing was 3:0 for the DS. Three things have changed now:- I removed Another Code from my DS must-havesI recently found out that it is called "Trace Code" in the U.S., which IMO is a pretty weird kind of localisation. Instead of using another english name, shouldn't they rather have given it a German name here? :twisted:Well, the U.S. reviews of the game were pretty bad, so I decided it's no longer a buying reason for me.- I added Mario Kart for the DS- I added GTA for the PSPTwo no-brainer descissions. Definitely buying reasons.I'm pretty curious now which handheld will have a real RPG out first, but I'd almost bet on "Tales of Eternia" for the PSP :)Greetings,Manuel

The game releases for the PSP have certainly been very slow after all of the release hype. My local games store has allocated a large number of shelves to the PSP, but mostly it is filled with multiple copies of the same few titles! All of the attention at the moment seems to be on the Xbox 360, and its flaws :) However, this is probably just as well as my time and money are rather limited at the moment. I am hoping that someone might buy me a copy of GTA for Xmas but I will have to wait and see (I have been dropping lots of hints)! Anyway, I am still very happy with my purchase, but I would like to see some killer titles released for it soon.

Guess the 20 different available racing games don't help it that much? :)

 

There's cool stuff for the PSP on the horizon though:

 

I already mentioned "Tales of Eternia" and "Extreme Ghosts'n'Goblins", then there's "Final Fantasy VII", "Gun", "Me and My Katamari", "Breath of Fire III", "Capcom Classics Collection", "Viewtiful Joe", "Devil May Cry", "PoPoLoCrois" and other excellent stuff coming sometime soon to a PSP near you! :)
