Orange Volkswagens

For Christmas, my mom got me a 1/36 scale orange Volkswagen because I said that was my favorite type of car. I don't have an orange Volkswagen, heck, I don't even have a learner's permit, but if I ever got around to learn how to drive, I would learn how to drive an orange Volkswagen beetle. Every time we drive by this certain road in my city, there is an auto collision repair place, and always sitting there is a non-moving orange Volkswagen. I don't know if it works. I don't care if it works, but I want it. I'd sit in the driver's seat and pretend to drive, like a kid would do. Beep beep! Well, anyway, I want to start a toy orange Volkswagen beetle collection. Researching through eBay, I learned that Matchbox cars and the like are 1/64 scale. I used to have some Hot Wheels cars when I was a kid (I think I still do) as well as my small (pun not intended) Micro Machines collection. So I've put on my shopping list one orange Volkswagen beetle 1/64 scale Matchbox or Hot Wheels car. I don't know why, but I just like the shape of the Beetle. I also like the unusual car color orange. You see red, white or blue cars all the time, but how often do you see an orange car? Not very often, I'll tell you that. Maybe it's my subconsious lusting over that orange Volkswagen always sitting there at that place I pass, but I have decided to start an orange Volkswagen collection. This is partially inspired by looking through the collections section of the Guinness World Records books looking at all those interesting collection of certain things, often ranking in the thousands. I myself have a jack-o-lantern collection going, but there's only about oh, I'd say 30 or so related in that one. So unless you yourself have an orange Volkswagen beetle Hot Wheels/Matchbox car you wouldn't mind getting rid of, that's my want for the moment. It should only be about a dollar or so at the store. Last time I saw them, I think they were a dollar each. I have a new still-in-box Oscar Mayer Wienermobile from the early '90s I got at a garage sale because it was unusual somewhere around here. But right now, it's orange Volkswagen beetles I'm in love with. Who knows? Maybe one day I'll have 100 of them and could get in the record books for "largest orange Volkswagen beetle toy car collection!" Wouldn't that be something? I doubt I'd even qualify for my 12 empty 7-up bottle collection. Something else to look for when I go to the flea market next Sunday! I'm so excited because I had to miss last month's. Something came up with my sister and mom had to take care of my nephew (remember I said I don't have a driver's license.)
