This is the title of the second issue of the comic book based on Super Mario Bros. 3 I'm making. In this issue, the Mario bros. go to world 7, the one infested with pipes. In trying to keep true to the game, I looked up in my Super Mario Bros. 3 guide and tried to make the king of Pipe Land look as he is once he was returned to his normal self. For those who need an explanation, just think that this little episode took place AFTER the Super Mario Bros. 3 game, but before Super Mario World. Pipe King: Behind these doors lie the most hideous, fowl creatures to ever walk the earth!

Now, I want Mario to say something clever. But what route should I go?

Mario: "Don't tell me you've kidnapped the entire Obama administration!"

...nah. People might get upset. People like the Obama administration. Besides, this takes place in 1990, so nobody outside his family would know who Barack Obama was. Well, I may use that, I'm not sure, (I'm acting as though people will read this in droves.)

What was a really stupid thing that people made fun of in 1990? I missed that part because I was in kindergarten, so I wasn't up to speed on the pop culture very much.
