Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat
Well, I'd decided to get out my Gamecube. Seeing the bongos on the floor decided to make me play Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat. I was out of practice. I guess I need to play it more frequently as I can't remember the last time I had played it. I had a hard time moving DK left and right even though the bongos make him move left and right. The hardest part is the bosses. It would be even more fun if they had got rid of them. It's so hard trying to figure out what to do. Even with a gamefaq faq you need to make sure you don't get hit by the boss AND figure out what to do! Take the boss for level 3. You need to clap your hands to freeze the game and the object the boss throws at you, then hit the bongo that is in the direction you want to throw it to. Then, once the enemy is hit, go over to him and slap the hell out the bongos to reduce his health meter. I wonder if there are any bottomless pits in this game like in Mario games. I doubt it since the only way to die is to lose all your beats. I barely got enough beats to pass level 3, and open the fourth world. I wonder why there's not a thing for world 5 that says a ? on it like all the previous levels' next level icons. I thought level 4 was the end of the game, but by looking on Gamefaqs but it isn't even the half-way point. Anyway, after ten minutes' worth, the palms of my hands began to hurt from all the clapping and banging on the bongos. That's the downside of the game. That and the bosses. I have an urge to get a third pair of bongos. I don't know why since I already have two. I'm also thinking of selling my Dreamcast, so I don't think I'm a hoarder. I also want to get a Gamecube modified so I can play Donkey Konga 3 (if there is such a thing as a Gamecube mod to do that.) I wonder why video game makers region-lock things. It's so stupid, especially with stuff like the Internet and eBay and still Nintendo felt the urge to region-lock the GC? It's quite interesting since the bongos are bigger than the console itself.
