Buying vinyl records over the internet
I guess I just need a new needle or something, although the last vinyl-to-mp3 conversion went ok. I just guess that someone listened to this record a lot. Bought a vinyl record on eBay. I gave him positive feedback because the record appeared good. I guess with Audacity, you can't listen to the record while it's playing, so I had to wait 26 and a half minutes for Klaus Schulze's "Floating" to be over with before I could listen to it and see if it had done good. With Audacity, my volume settings have to be almost nil for it to sound anything good. I wonder why. So anyway, the record didn't sound as good as the used ones I buy at the record stores. I guess that's what the story is. I set it halfway through side 1, dropped the needle down for the second time, and it sounded just the same as the first time I had tried to record it. I had ordered a new needle, so that should be coming next week sometime. I also have to wait until Tuesday to play the game I got from overseas since the stupid post office doesn't want to just drop packages by on your doorstep if they come from a different country, although he did put a package that came from within the US on my doorstep. I think this is stupid, unless both times the sender wanted delivery confirmation. Now I have to go to the post office to get my package, which I guess is OK, because I have to mail something out anyway.
