As you know, doing and making crosswords is a big thing for me. Well, I've decided to have a goal in life: Create (at least) 1 crossword puzzle a day. So far I've done 5 in 2 days. So, you can do the crossword puzzles I make here: http://www.atari2600land.com/crosswords/ Today's puzzle is about the letter Z. There are 6 z's in it. That doesn't sound like too many, but the letter Z isn't used much in crosswords, just like Q. Since I've decided to post these one a day, I know what the next few days' crosswords are. I think tomorrow's is one of my best. And the one I made today, which will be up Sunday is even better. While the people working on the siding have been working on our house, they've been playing annoying crappy country music. It's odd, but I figure I think better with it playing than without. I still hate the crap though, but it was real easy creating tomorrow's yesterday while they were working. They found a wasp nest, so we handed them some Raid and the guy knocked it down (it was a small one.) I don't know why wasps like to hang around our house, though. We had to get rid of another one earlier. Here's a fun fact about wasps: They serve no purpose. Think about it: They don't make honey and they sting people. I can understand bees making honey, but wasps? Same thing with hornets. No purpose at all. I'm thinking of revamping the crossword page to reflect I'm now making them on a daily basis. So you'll see my crossword puzzle page change a little bit.

Nature is complex and seldom wasteful - although the role of wasps may not be immediately apparent, I'm sure they provide some value to the ecosystem as both predators and prey.

Going through the Wikipedia articles for wasp and hornet has at least taught me I'm almost certainly using the incorrect terms for what I consider a wasp (black & yellow with a long waist) and hornet (black & yellow with very little waist).
