A few days ago, I had discovered when working on Super Giuseppe Bros. that if you jump when you're close to an enemy, you can pass through it without dying. After tons of attempts to fix this problem which lasted a few days, I finally squished the bug. A few times I thought I was going to have to cancel the game because I was so frustrated, but perseverance paid off. Anyway, I have a sprite request. Anyone who is a sprite artist, read. I need an ostrich. I'm going to make the ostrich fly. It's only one sprite (no animation because I can't do that) so please try to make it look like a flying ostrich. I tried and couldn't come up with anything even close. Maximum sprite size on Odyssey2 is 8x8 pixels. Yes, I know it's a bummer. I don't know why the Atari 2600 which came out earlier, has no height restrictions on its sprites while the Odyssey2 does. Another blow is that the Odyssey2 can't do music. All it's capable of in the sound department is a few blips and bleeps (without the Voice module, but even then, the Atari 2600 can talk, too.) So it makes me wonder why I program for it. Must be because of those reasons that people shy away from it. And when people shy away from consoles, it becomes attractive to me. The only game.com game I'm missing is Wheel of Fortune 2. I have almost all the Microvision games. And so on. So anyway, give this version a whirl and tell me if you see any bugs.
