Hi there!Wow, that was quick! Nintendo just won the race for the first "killer app rpg" with:Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time!Total no-brainer for me. Its GBA prequel easily makes it into the top 5 games I played the last 5 years! While rather short (except the end battle!) it certainly was the game with the highest laughs/minute ratio ever!Ok, just for the overall summary, scorers so far are:DS: Castlevania, Mario Kart, Advance Wars, Mario & Luigi PSP: Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories...to be continued...Greetings,Manuel

Hi there!

Taito Memories Volume 2 for the PSP will include updated versions of both Crazy Balloon and Balloon Bomber!

Wow! :)

Hm... you're sure it'll be on the PSP as well? Just asking, because you linked the PS2 version?

Greetings,

Manuel

Sorry I was getting confused there and posted the wrong link! I read about this in the relaunched Retro Gamer magazine and I though you would be impressed ;) It will be called "Taito Memories Pocket" on the PSP. It is currently scheduled for a January release in Japan, but I'm not sure if/when it will be released in Europe. Unfortunately I am struggling to find a link that is not in Japanese. You can just about make out the Crazy Balloon screenshot in this image.

Edit: This link is better...

Wow²! This looks absolutely gorgeous! What an amazing package! I sure hope it's going to make it all the way to Europe!

The list is very interesting:

- Crazy Balloon & Crazy Balloon 2005

Would be cool to have this on a portable. And I'm also dead curious about the revamped version!

- Balloon Bomber & Lunar Rescue

Could've lived without those. I played them on MAME too much I guess ;)

- QIX

Ok, giving it another try...

-Alps Ski

-Elevator Action

-Chacconpoppu

-kage no densetsu

Chack'n'Pop and Legend of Kage I assume. Well, all definite classics.

-Fairy Land Story

-Strange World

-Kurikinton

-Ray Maze

Never seen or heard of them before. Should be interesting discoveries!

- Rasutan Saga

- New Zealand Story

- Cameltry

Also classics worth having!

- Rainbow Island Extra

Definitely the highlight of the compilation (depending a bit on what "extra" means... :)) Makes you wonder why they didn't fit Bubble Bobble inbetween that and Chack'n'Pop...

- Balloon Bomber 2005

- Cameltry 2005

More revamps, cool!

This is really looking fabulous!

Greetings,

Manuel

-Fairy Land Story

I think that's one of the games I was playing a few months ago when I was perusing old arcade games on KLOV and playing anything that looked interesting in MAME.

I really liked it; kind of a weird, fairy-land bubble-bobble type game. Actually, now that I am remembering, it is basically a Bubble Bobble ripoff. Just without bubbles. :)

Ah, always cool to do that! I'm still busy with it as well, though I'm currently stuck in 1980 with Rally X. Cool game! ;)

I found it now in MAME. Need to check that out! Kurikinton is also MAME'd, but I'm not sure about the other 2. Probably under different names...
