47 in the news
Hey gang. I'm convinced Mitt Romney likes the number 47. In searching for 47 in the news, most of the Presidential polls have Romney at 47%, with Obama at 43-44%, though in Fla. that's a bad thing for Romney, as Obama has 48%. I guess that just goes to show you how equal the US political parties are split up. Now I don't want to go into politics here, so I'll refrain from talking any more about this. Moving on, it seems like No. 47 was mysterious in Oklahoma. There was a college football player who changed his number before the game to 47. The press couldn't recognize him because there was no #47 on the roster. But the mystery was solved. Those wacky Canadians 
) And some old news: Since there was no other 47 sighting back then, the Japanese dock that landed ashore in Oregon was dismantled. I think it was the end of July. They split the dock into pieces before hauling it away, and one piece was 47 tons (or, I guess, "tonnes" in Canada!)
