Well, I guess I'm late to the party. I just bought Angry Birds Trilogy for the 3DS. Haven't played it yet. I've never played Angry Birds before so I don't know what kind of an experience I'm in for. I know it must be something interesting because I see Angry Birds merchandise everywhere I go. I've been kind of in a 3DS drought lately. The only thing I used it for recently was to access the Internet while I was at the beach. That and the only other game I see that I'd be interested in is Crosswords Plus. That's kind of a bad sign, but I haven't heard anything about a 3DS 2 or 3DS U or whatever Nintendo wants to call its successor.

I suspect the big N is more focused on the Wii U than any 3DS successor (other than the 3DS XL). In addition, I do not believe the 3DS has been a major seller like the DS, nor do I believe there is any significant competition from the PSP/Vita. The real competition is smartphones, tablets & the iPod Touch. So N will probably sit back and wait and see how the Wii U does and try to figure out how to make a portable console which can compete with $1 downloads.
