Unexplained mysteries of Odyssey2 programming
Here's something that I am having trouble understanding: Why is it that when I try something a few times it doesn't work and then I try it once more it does? I decide to not give up on something because this turns out to be true. Case in point: Chicken animation for Traffic! I tried inserting the animation code from Super Giuseppe two or three times and it broke the game. But once more I tried and it runs perfectly. It's just something that I'll never understand. Something else I'll never understand is how I can go three or four hours of straight coding without needing to go to the bathroom or anything. I guess it's because I'm putting my whole mind into it so I forget and time flies by. Then it hits me: I have to pee. So I complain and yell and curse my stupid body. I don't want to stop what I'm doing just because I need to pee. Not because I was having fun yelling and cursing at the computer for not working, though. I don't know. And when you multiply three or four hours a ton of times, it gets to be a big huge number of hours I could potentially spend working on a game that turns out to be just 2k. So anyway, here's the latest version of Traffic!, with chicken animation and a couple of added sound effects. It may not work correctly on O2EM, but I tested it on a real Odyssey2 and it works just fine.
