Unexplained mysteries of Odyssey2 programming

Here's something that I am having trouble understanding: Why is it that when I try something a few times it doesn't work and then I try it once more it does? I decide to not give up on something because this turns out to be true. Case in point: Chicken animation for Traffic! I tried inserting the animation code from Super Giuseppe two or three times and it broke the game. But once more I tried and it runs perfectly. It's just something that I'll never understand. Something else I'll never understand is how I can go three or four hours of straight coding without needing to go to the bathroom or anything. I guess it's because I'm putting my whole mind into it so I forget and time flies by. Then it hits me: I have to pee. So I complain and yell and curse my stupid body. I don't want to stop what I'm doing just because I need to pee. Not because I was having fun yelling and cursing at the computer for not working, though. I don't know. And when you multiply three or four hours a ton of times, it gets to be a big huge number of hours I could potentially spend working on a game that turns out to be just 2k. So anyway, here's the latest version of Traffic!, with chicken animation and a couple of added sound effects. It may not work correctly on O2EM, but I tested it on a real Odyssey2 and it works just fine.

With a C7050 cart that connects to your computer and you can upload games from the computer to the cart so the cart will play it on an actual Odyssey 2 (or Videopac).

Well, it's a pretty recent invention. I think you can still get one if the guy who makes them still is making them. I just ordered one about a week ago and it's coming from Europe so it will take a while. I only ordered one after someone on AtariAge loaned and mailed theirs for me to try. I liked it so much I ordered one of my own.

Yeah, then whole try the same feature and it doesn't work bull REALLY bothers me. I had a working scrolling engine for the Genesis but it used 3x3 map sections to draw the screen buffer. This sorta didn't work out as it didn't fill the screen right. I tried the same technique with 4x4 map sections and it failed. Same code. Same logic and it never drew the screen correctly. It took me months to try again.

You mean Jungle Girl? Yeah, I got that. I also got my copy of GoSub, too. My Traffic! game, I just saw a bug and I'm just starting on trying to squish it.
