The Great AEGINRST Machine
Not to tiptoe over my Star Box topic, but I think I might have found a new entry for the Great Aeginrst Machine. For those who aren't familiar with it (which is probably all of you), it's a listing of 157 words, names, and such that use the letters AEGINRST all together in different formations. My example would be #158. "ART INGES" That is people named Art Inge. Well, how many people are named Art Inge? More than one, so it can be technically possible! (And, even if it was just one person, we can say "Art Inge's", that is, if he owned anything.) I have a source, so you can all look it up: http://www.whitepages.com/name/Art-Inge/ (Well, most Art Inges want to go by their full names: Arthur.) I contacted Word Ways, a logology magazine (the study of words) and I am waiting to hear back from them about my interesting find. What led me to look it up was playing with the letters, trying to put them in some sort of order not found in the list. "ART" paired with the great playwright William "INGE," led me to look and see if there were any Art Inges lurking about. So I go to whitepages.com and sure enough, there are a few! Well, anyway, thought you might like to know. And, like GI Joe used to say "Knowing is half the battle." (insert NBC's "The more you know" rainbow shooting star here.)
