Fooling around in Photoshop

I like to draw cartoons. Which is too bad because I suck at it. And THAT'S too bad since I have a daily one. http://chrisread.comicgenesis.com Well, anyway, I have been drawing since I was able to hold a crayon. In kindergarten, I still have those journals. I think kids would write in theirs, I would draw pictures. In 1992, when I was 9 years old, I started drawing a comic called "Bill and George." I think the names came from the main candidates of the 1992 presidential race (Bill Clinton and George Bush.) It would make sense seeing the time frame. Well, anyway, after 509 issues of them doing various stuff, I decided to call it quits. There's only so much stuff you can have two guys do. I think they're nothing more than stick figures. They consist of the letter o atop the letter n. the o being the head and the n being the upper body. I could now draw them much better, but this is a holdover from the days when I couldn't draw even more so. Either that, or I'm lazy. Because in my online comic, the characters are more refined. They actually have arms and legs and stuff. But anyway, while looking for a way to make the drawings I do less crappy and getting rid of the "squishy" markings that come with the paper and pen (or pencil) I use, I finally figured out a way with Photoshop. I just go to convert to black and white and mess around with the RGB and Contrast dials. Anyway, I plan on continuing the Bill and George saga with "Bill and George Quarterly." BGQ was originally a supplemental comic book to go along with B&G. But now since I quit making B&G (and I still want to draw them), this is a perfect outlet for them since I only have to do it four times a year. In order to avoid a Bert and Ernie-style mystery, I decided to make them brothers a long time ago. Two brothers living in the same house. Because it would be less funny if they lived in separate ones. Anyway, I put my Photoshop experiments online. Why? Because I am bored. http://www.atari2600land.com/bgq/
