Two things that really don't go together
I wrote a disco song. Well, in fact, I wrote three of them. One is called "boogie on down some more." I wrote another one called "disco pete" which is a variation of the classic song "Cuban Pete" and finally, I wrote one that is the topic of this discussion. I wrote a disco Christmas song. It has jingle bells in it. I made MIDIS to accompany my singing for all three songs. It really does sound a lot better than just playing my keyboard. I convert the MIDIs into MP3s with this tool I found. Unfortunately, I can't get the MyStart Search bar on the Internet to go away. Anyway, then I record myself singing without the music and blend the two together using Audacity. It was originally two songs, but I got the idea for "disco christmas" after I realized there were no disco Christmas songs (no famous ones anyway. I wonder if Donna Summer ever recorded a Christmas disco song...) Anyway, here's the lyrics to it.
Disco records under the tree
It's such a glorious sight to see
It means only one thing to me
On Christmas Day I get to boogie
Ahhhh, disco Christmas!
Santa and his elves get to hear
Disco music in the workshop all year
When on Christmas Eve Santa gets into gear
Disco music on his Walkman in his ear
Ahhhh. disco Christmas!
I don't know why, but I've been on a disco kick for a long time now. I think I might have Saturday Night Fever. I asked my Mom about disco since I wasn't alive to experience it and she said she hates it. Blasphemy! Well, that's what I've been working on all morning: DIsco Christmas. Ahhhh, disco Christmas!
