Since the 1200 was TOAST, I butchered the dead keyboard to use it's chassis to hold the cheap chinese laptop style keyboard.

The chinese keyboard is about 1/4 inch less in length than the stock 1200 keyboard and about 1/3 inch taller.

There are small spaces on the sides of the keyboard that will need to be filled with something, but they don't affect the aesthetic much.

Needless to say the dark finishing trim needed to be cut as well on bottom by the space bar.
