  1. Hi. Here is a new game that I've been developing slowly a puzzle game where everything is deadly!

  2. Attached is a cleaned up reproduction of the Championship Baseball overlay, in case anyone else ever needs one. Made it for myself, to print and laminate, as I now (rather unexpectedly) have a working MBX, but no Championship Baseball overlay.

  9. Hi, I made some cassette j-cards for some of my Atari 8-bit games, and I thought I'd share them with you guys. They're saved at actual size, so you shouldn't have to mess with any settings to print them at the correct size. For best results, print on card stock or any kind of white paper that's thicker than regular printer paper. Cut along the faintly colored border and fold according to the white markers in the bleed-in area. I add more j-cards from time to time, so be sure to check back once in a while. 10. Sad to hear, having worked at 1265 Borregas. It was the home of Atari’s IT department as well, so we had all the good and bad detailed info first. VP’s used to come to our department to try and pry month end results from us ahead of official release. The stories about herbal smells coming from the 2nd floor (executives) about 4:00 occasionally are true. Well, prior to Warner anyway. Many other stories are also true. It was definitely the most fun place I experienced in my career. But I sure learned life lessons about how not to run a company that I took with me. It’s all about the product stupid, not the brand! I could go on for days. Glad a friend sent me a link to this so I finally joined! Here are some pix from my last visit there about 3 years ago.

  11. It would be grossly inconvenient to have to disassemble the enclosure whenever you want to futz with the SDCard. J-Data also just responded a few minutes ago to my STP file request, and delivered. I am investigating the data now.

  13. Doggone It!-50,094 Yesssssss!!!!!!!!!!! For those that keep up with my antics elsewhere, the vid is pretty "standard quo", when I accidentally "do well", but for those that don't, it might be a bit amusing. I think VERY highly of myself when I reach a personal goal, lol. "Favorite 2600 game ever"?-mebbe pushing it, but I don't actually think too deep into that kind of stuff. If I had someone I was trying to convince that the 2600 was still "fun" and "cool"? I would most definitely want them to try this game. 50K. Soooo Tickled!!! *Edit* (I don't think the vid is going to upload directly here, and I don't want to upload it to youtube, until it's released). (I think you can download and watch tho, if yur that hardcore...) 2600Doggoneit50094.mp4

  16. Me too ... I am not even convinced they have produced 11,000+ consoles, let alone have them in the water to San Fran ... or wherever they are distributing from. If they were they would be promoting the hell out of it to increase retail pre-orders. The reality is that F-Atari has gone into silent running mode again and that never results in good news for backers. I will be more than happy to be proved wrong though.

  18. I'm convinced everything tastes better out of a Food Truck! A while back, I had nachos made with Doritos (They called it "Dorinachos")...Just nacho cheese and jalapenos on top of Nacho Cheese flavored Doritos. Seems like they added some grated parmesan cheese on top for some reason, and ya know what? It was Awesome! Who knew?

  20. A new release (v0.6.2) is now available with the following changes: Fixed error exporting to png images (TwentySixHundred, darryl1970, Muddyfunster) Sorry about that one guys - it appears Typescript Buffer function no longer liked converting an object (well an array) automatically so I've ended up sending through a base64 string instead. The spriteEditor is javascript so everything comes through as an object/any type. arrr.... [Update] The update is currently being validated my Microsoft (occasionally this happens and may take a few hours). Direct download here!

  22. I'm just checking in here after a while...looks like we're about a month away from allegedly shipping and there are still a lot of question marks as to this thing's actual content, and they haven't bothered to announce anything new. I'd think they would be gladly showing Tempest 4000 and RollerCoaster Tycoon if they actually had them running at this point. There's no excuse not to, just as there never has been an excuse to hide behind, since those are both Atari IP. They also just got massively undercut by Microsoft launching the Xbox Series S at $300. Yeah, yeah, "we're not in the same market" will be the excuse, except that they are. Applying the same rules to other consumer electronics gaming products, we'd call that "DOA"

  23. Thanks. I think I know why this happened. I'll see if I can fit in a fix. The plan is for Ms. Galactopus to be added to the AA store eventually. With bug fixes, of course.

  26. No,no! That's not me either. I did want to state that I have never had any problems ordering from Rev. I do take exception however that when we wear costumes he always gets to choose who wears what. I guess that's how it works when you're the Brony master.??

  28. Here's my cart plugged in. Lots of other Atari stuff nearby as I am beta testing several Lynx games as well. Definitely a cool game with decent animation and fun power-ups! Challenging, too, as I keep dying around the third stage.

  30. You can also write a full review on the case of an NEC PC-8801 VA3 and send it to the PenguiNet P.O. Box - I'd definitely read it! Of course, any thread is fine including this one . My inner Fillyjonk checked the address several times, stuck a PLE on the box, then cleaned the entire house because some fibers from the cardboard may have gotten loose and could still be floating somewhere in the air and I don't know if they're going to land on the table and I had just wiped that down because who knows when guests might show up and... oh goodness this is exhausting, I need to lie down. If Snufkin doesn't get the package, the post obviously isn't following code. Mode 320B uses two palettes of three colors + a transparent / backdrop color, so there's a total of seven colors. Some objects (particularly the characters) in Rikki & Vikki use two textures rendered on top of each other which gives the illusion of more colors per palette. This is fairly common in other platforms like the NES, GameBoy Color, and Neo Geo Pocket Color to get around their 2bpp sprite / tile limitations. Generally though, the 7800's high resolution modes come with lots of asterisks in regard to what can be used where. So while they can look really crisp they're also somewhat convoluted to use.

  33. People go on and on about 'rush jobs' but fail to note that given the commercial lifespan of the Jaguar, if these titles had not been 'rushed' the console would have been long dead before they appeared and nobody would have had them at all.

  35. Three more manuals for disk based software- these all depend upon you having other software! MICRODEX for TI Base by Bill Gaskell, distributed by Texaments. Requires TI Base V2 or higher. Black print on grey (gray) card. Indexes of TI magazines- 99er/HCM, Compute, Micropendium 1984-1988, Enthusiast 99, Super 99, Smart Programmer and partial indexes for Ryte Data and MiniMag and others. TI CASINO SUPPLEMENT- Notung Software. Requires TI Casino. Black print on yellow card with white pages inserted. Extra jokes, new game of Faro, rejigged slot machine. The zip includes a scan of the disk label. BEYOND VIDEO CHESS by Harry Wilhelm, distributed by Asgard. Black print on buff pages. The zip includes an additional white insert with module modification illustrations. Require the Video Chess module and additional hardware or module mod - adds disk save and load to the module, screen print to normal printer, game list to usual printer. Use of joysticks to play the game. Requires Module mod OR widget or load interrupt switch or Corcomp or Myarc disk controller orHorizon ram disk or Geneve..... I started scanning TI Artist Plus manual and have hit a brick wall- the old large USB socket on my 20 year old scanner has disintegrated leaving me with a working scanner and no way to talk to it. Replacement equivalent scanners no longer seem on offer- main scan 1200 dpi, sub scan at 2400 dpi and zoom to 9600dpi. The central plastic block snapped off leaving the wires unsupported and one of the wires has disappeared into the innards... I have found a second hand replacement but it has a SCSI interface which adds additional problems... I'm working on it, and at the same time rebuilding my software for my new 64 bit CPU (in some cases I am having to rebuild from source). So please excuse the lack of scans for a little while. Right now it isn't a permanent absence just a long one. I do have a 600dpi domestic scanner but it really isn't up to serious manual scanning and the 600dpi is not as clear as on my ancient scanner. Have fun everyone.... s BeyondVideoChess.zip Microdex.zip TICasinoSupplement.zip

  42. Hi guys, A huge thank you to GoldLeader (Johnny) for the awesome Neo-Geo stickers, Neo-Geo shot glasses and Neo-Geo Mini Jar. These will really be part of the collection and will be displaying them so proudly in the rest. Thank you so much Johnny. Were glad to have you aboard the Neo-Geo thread and contributing so much to the AtariAge forums. You do plenty for us and the video game community wouldn't be what is it without you bro. Keep up the excellent work as always Johnny. Always a pleasure to see you on with us and reading in on what you post though out Atariage. Anthony...

  43. The whole llamasoft debacle is just another of the many reasons the new faux-tari sucks. They basically sued llamasoft for TxK being too much like Tempest 2000 (the dumb shits must not have realized Jeff wrote T2K and owned the rights). They prevented TxK from launching on the PS4. They prevented a VR mode of the game (which was completed BTW) from being released. Then, after allowing Tempest 4000 on the PS4 (albeit watered down), they showed FAKE screenshots of it running on the non-existent "unconsole" of theirs. Llamasoft were made aware of this, and said that in no way were they contacted, and also, a Linux version did not exist. Great way to do business folks. Everything they do is shady, everything they say is a lie.
