  1. There was a prototype of Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind, that was (according to the description of it) LESS polished than the original. Which is very interesting. The price was 799$, but no one has ever bought that. However, there is a picture of the cartridge and the tittle screen of it. Theory The theory of this one is that it might have some screenshots of the prototype of this game besides the title screen. It's proven by looking threw magazines, that is mentioned and look at screenshots of the game and see, if there's any difference. One was even found in this commercial. Here are screenshots I've found so far and the comparison. There were two hot dogs in level 4, but there's only one hot dog in the final. In level 7, there was a shark, but not in the final. For this one, it doesn't exist in the final, because I can't find this place. Ok, it's not much different from the final, but it's interesting non the less. Did you know? Interesting enough, there's another NTSC prototype of the same game (with a cartridge), that was found by Nullifidian on Ebay in 2007. It costed €199.95 (or $247.08). There's also a PAL prototype of it. 2. The Postcard At one time, when they we're selling Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind for Sega Mega Drive, they also included this interesting postcard from Bubsy. He wrote about the contest called "Watch'n Win" and if you won, you would got a big prize. We never knew a lot of information about this contest other than from the postcard, which it just mentions it. That is, until in 2016, when someone uploaded a scanned flyer for it. Which is amazing, but we don't know, where did this person got it.[1] Backstory In 1993, Accolade teamed up with Software Etc. (the gaming shop that doesn't excist today) and made a contest called "Bubsy's Watch'n Win Contest" Contest The contest was to watch the Bubsy cartoon on TV and wrote your 3 favorite cartoon characters on the Entry Form. Then you cut the Entry Form from the flyer and sent it to the address, that was written bellow. Prizes According to the flyer, the prizes we're really interesting: News? Well, we don't know, how many people joined, we don't even know, who won the grand prize. Accolade never said any news about it or any updates. So really, we have no idea about this one. Maybe it's because they worked on Bubsy 2 and then on Bubsy in Fractured Furry Tales and even on other games at that time and they eventually forgot about this contest. Which is a shame, because that would be an amazing contest, if they remembered, that this existed. Especially for the Grand prize, where your family could go on Hollywood for 3 days! But sadly, it never happened. T-shirts "Bubsy's Back!" story There's also an interesting fact: So the First prize we're T-shirts, that said "Bubsy's Back" Well, what if I told you, that they included those T-shirts as a bonus prize for Bubsy 2? Let me explain: When they released Bubsy 2, they also put a stamp, that said "Free T-Shirt with this game, while stocks last!" They did this for some short time and they didn't do this again. We never knew how it looked like until in 2014, when Doctorclu saw a person with that shirt at JagFest 2000.[2] So they must be really rare to get it. 3. While cruising ebay today, that place where I like to buy things but mostly see many pictures of things I like I saw the first evidence of the Bubsy 2 T-Shirt promotion. But to catch us up, the search for the Bubsy T-Shirt has been a great search. Granted there have been at least three companies that have made some Bubsy themed shirt. And you know, I even bought one from theyetee.com. But there is nothing like having the shirt from back in the day. So here is a quick timeline of where this search has led so far. August 2008 - Japanese shirt made... hey, never thought I would actually FIND the actual Bubsy shirt. http://atariage.com/forums/blog/234/entry-5222-the-basically-complete-bubsy-collection/ February 2009- Bubsy 1 Shirt found/bought http://atariage.com/forums/blog/234/entry-5846-got-the-bubsy-shirt/ February 2010 Bubsy 1 Shirt Ad discovered http://atariage.com/forums/blog/234/entry-6810-the-bubsy-add-for-the-bubsy-shirt/ October 2014 Bubsy 2 shirt sighted. http://atariage.com/forums/blog/234/entry-11395-cruizin-jagudome-october-2014/ And now, check this out, while looking over the UK version of ebay I saw a great sight... Well that is cool, because that is the better version of the back of the shirt I saw online back in October... Awesome! But then I saw this, which I think is worth adding here... Now if there is something that &$@$# Tetris taught me on the Nuon, a promotional item has a really small window of availability. Was this a sticker that stores slapped on the game, or something the company did? Really tempted to buy this $40 game (item and shipping) to see if there is a card you had to fill out. But I have seen evidence of the Bubsy 2 "Bubsy's Back" with one occurrence in the UK and one in Texas. Pretty cool. Update --- July 14, 2019 I have a kit together now if you want to create a Bubsy 2 shirt. And here it is... Bubsy 2 Shirt.zip That has pictures of the two occurrences where the shirt was seen. The one in Texas above, and another that has come to light of the Nintendo Power magazine in Australia: Here are the graphics files that was scanned from the back of the Accolade catalog that came with Bubsy 2, and these should be good enough to create a T-Shirt with:

  4. While looking at some information for the JagFest 2000 I found something cool in the pictures. At first I saw the top of ears and said "That looks like Bubsy" but thought I was just seeing things. And then as I looked at other pictures, sure enough, it was Bubsy in a Bubsy II shirt saying: "Bubsy's Back" and naturally on the back of the shirt you have a picture of Bubsy's back. Typical Bubsy humor. Now if I can just find Joel, who was wearing this shirt at the JagFest, and get him to sell me that shirt. Or at least take better pictures of it to share with all of us.
