Fun fact: the ancient kingdom of Shilla (신라) that was once located on the southeast of the Korean Peninsula constructed 황룡사, which literally translates to Emperor’s Dragon Temple, in AD 569. Here’s the interesting bit: the temple had a 9 story tower, and its height is estimated to be somewhere around 65-85 meters (1.5-2 times taller than the Home Insurance Building which is considered to be the first skyscraper), based on records from way back when. Sadly we’ll never find out how truly massive the ancient tower was, as it was burned down by Mongolians in AD 1238. Attempts are being made to recreate the tower, and it’s already been done in computer simulations. Whether it should be physically rebuilt in real life is under debate.

Even though Pac Man was the reigning champ for a while back in the day as far as overall popularity. It struck me that, at least where I grew up, the majority of non arcade places that had 1 or 2 games inside(convenience stores, grocery stores, restaurant/pizza waiting rooms, bowling alleys without dedicated arcade rooms, etc) all seemed to carry Galaxian pretty much across the board.

I wonder sometimes... I was on an Oculus Quest forum and someone posted that his Elite strap (an attachment) had broken and he had returned it. The store called and said the replacement was in. He went to pick it up, and it was an Oculus Quest 2, not an Elite strap. He kept it. Everyone is congratulating him... I would have told the store about their mistake and not taken it. Hmmm...

Fun fact: I used cassette tapes as my main method of listening to music on the go until extremely recently because I genuinely had no other choice. Recording music on the 2 cassette tapes I had (both were extremely short; I’d assume 15 minutes at most per side.) using a TRS-80 cassette recorder was a pain in the ass. And the old Sanyo Walkman had some issues with maintaining a consistent volume and speed.

I was taken to McDonalds and I didn't know what I want, so I just ordered a Big Mac because they're at McDonalds. Something about a burger with nothing but lettuce, pickles, and yummy sauce makes me, um, fat.
