Regarding the HES rereleases of Activision and Imagic games, are the labels different? I know the boxes have HES on them, and most of them are plastic cases, but I'm not sure about the labels. Anyone know?

Does anyone know which games were released by Hot Shot versus Goliath? We were just updating/adding to the database (we don't even have a Hot Shot entry yet) and it's difficult to tell which titles came from Hot Shot. We'll be adding some titles to our Goliath listing, and I have quite a few pics of carts that I think may be Hot Shot, but I'm not sure.

We would also like to get scans of any 2800 boxes if possible. We already have a section listing the 2800 titles that we know of, if you search for 2600 games in the Asian region you'll see them. Currently we have no scans at all for 2800 games (boxes).

I just came back to this thread while looking something up... Zero, you say "Also, it's worth pointing out that the Zellers section on AtariAge is by no means complete." If you know of any Zellers games we are missing, we would like to know. Please note that we mean actual Zellers games, not just games with that label style, which is not reliable as you noted. All the Zellers games in our listing I have seen actual Zellers boxes for. Thanks!

The booster grip (or some substitute) is required for Omega Race because it allows two independent fire buttons. You can also use a Colecovision controller for the same functionality.

Cracker Pet is, AFAIK, a pirate game of unknown origin. We will be adding another company listing for either "Unknown" or "Taiwan 3" or something like that, to lump these similarly labeled games together. The Puzzy game you have is a real Puzzy game. The Puzzy games we currently have listed should actually be under Bit Corp, we actually had a fairly lengthy discussion about this here. Puzzy appears to be a subsidiary of Bit Corp. Can we use your scans on AtariAge?

Glenn Brunner just sent us nine screenshots for your enjoyment: Dameon's Gate Slideshow And no, we don't have a ROM.
-
I see. From your reply I thought you were talking about Crack'd (which is what I was talking about).

Scott, you know we've had photos online for months now, right? We made a news announcement about it. Or am I missing something? Or do you just mean seeing it first hand?

This thread has been moved to eBay Auction Central.

Sorry guys! It will probably be delayed until Tuesday evening, US Central Time. Albert is on the road right now and I can't really confer with him about a winner. Soon!

Heh, that thought occurred to me as well. However, with the difficulty involved in programming a 2600 game, I would think the programmer would want to take credit. It's not worth it for a hoax. But I suppose it would be easy enough to "find" a very unfinished lost prototype. Lets hope that never happens.

Zero, I doubt Albert was given the ROMs to any of these games. I expect they will be available for sale at CGE in August, and then the ROMs will be available.
-
Yes it is. I didn't mention it because I didn't have anything new to report about it - it's been in our database for quite some time now. We don't have a ROM, but we should have some more news about it soon.

You can't directly upload to our site. You can show these pics from within the message board if you know a little HTML. Hopefully this will work for everyone, although I don't know if Yahoo allows external linking (the image is already cached in my browser):

Most (maybe all) Dactar games use dip switches to select the game: Dip Switches on Dactar Cart Some multi-carts use the power switch to select a game - turning the system on and off selects the next title. And a smaller amount use onscreen menus.

http://www.phillyclassic.comPhillyClassic is now over, and for those of you who couldn't attend we will have a full feature with many pictures in the near future. In the meantime, here are a few announcments to whet your appetite. Two unreleased games for the 2600 were shown - Pick Up (label, screenshot) and Save the Whales (label, screenshot), both by 20th Century Fox. Also shown was Chuck Norris: Missing in Action by TNT for the Atari 7800 (screenshot 1, 2, 3). We'll have more information and pictures about these titles soon! Hi Marek, If you can send us a picture, or better yet a scan, we will add it to the database. We are missing many non-US titles, but we are slowly adding them.
-
We will probably announce the winner Monday night.

quote: Originally posted by CincYnoTi: listing those games that say puzzy on the box and cart label as PUZZY and those games that say Bit Corp on the box and cart label as BIT makes sense (i have a snail vs squirrel and bobby is going home Bit boxes, one from england, other from australia). the english/german all text labels sold by telegames only makes sense to list them as TELEGAMES if someone knows that they actually manufactured these versions. farmyard fun used to be listed as made by telegames as well as that version of chess they sell. i have also found a phantom panzer picture label in the box style that comes from telegames. since these nine games have a unique label style, maybe they should be listed as BIT and identified as a label variation. the picture labels with yellow german text came in boxes VERY similar to those sold by telegames. but they often had the quelle sticker on the box and have instructions with "Quelle" on them. so even though quelle is not stamped on the cartridge, grouping them as QUELLE makes sense. marco, i have a Bit label PG204 with the german title "sesam offne dich". so at least one was made with german text. anyone else have Puzzy or Bit labels with german text? Bit labels will be under Bit and Puzzy under Puzzy. Is this the Quelle manual you are referring to for the German Bit-style games: Quelle manual And yes, I agree that the Telegames Bit titles should be under Bit Corp unless we find out something different.

I'm not really sure how rare they are. I remember someone had quite a few, and I'm sure it was a warehouse find. But if only a few people have stashes, they're probably still fairly rare. I don't know how/where they were sold originally. Yes, we will include Canadian/NTSC multi-lingual labels. If you want to send any in, we would welcome it, I don't think we have any ourselves. What are the boxes like for those? [ 04-26-2002: Message edited by: Alex ]

Yes, if you don't have any web space or can't figure it out, just email it to us and we'll post it for everyone to have a look.

I'm not sure, so they probably should go under Bit. At the very least they don't belong under Puzzy, but probably if we make some reference that they are re-releases of Bit Corp originals in the game notes, that will work. The reason I thought that they might go under Telegames is that they have totolly different packaging - but like you said I don't know that they were exclusive to Telegames. As for the pirates, I was thinking of grouping them by label and/or box style, perhaps as "Unknown 1", "Unknown 2", etc, for the company name.
