    Hey! Stop!

Joel, Thanks, we got your Bobby is Going Home, it just hasn't been added to the database yet. It'll be in soon, along with some others. Looking forward to your other scans...

    What are these?

Got all those guys, thanks! I'll be processing them tonight, hopefully they'll be up soon.
  3. Someone pointed this out to me recently, anyone know what it is? Kenner Prototype Console The art was found in a Kenner warehouse, so it's a Kenner console concept of some kind. Anyone hear of that before?
  4. A number of people have noted problems with the mod on this site. Apparently it is the result of a weak video signal. I've done this exact mod before and it worked, but tried it recently on another unit and I got a weak video signal. In any event, if anyone wants to write a better mod tutorial, we would be happy to replace the current page on this site. I would do it myself but particularly gifted in this area and surely someone else could do a better job. We can take care of all the posting and page coding, if someone can provide good instructions and pictures.
  5. Got 'em, Asmo, thanks! They'll be up by tomorrow night.
  6. Does anyone know the winner? I'd love to get a scan of that 32-in-1 box and manual.
  7. Rhindle, Thanks, we'll make those corrections on the titles. As for the others, we would really prefer pictures. We'd like to stay firm on that request to be fair to everyone, and to keep the list as accurate as possible. If you get a chance to send pics, we'll go through them. Thanks!

I'd send you a scan, but the label on my cart is really ratty.. I'm sure somebody out there has a better one, because I hear it's not particularly rare. If you can at least send a pic, we'll add it to the list as we don't currently have that title for Intellivision. Or send the label and we'll add it even if it isn't perfect - we don't have any Intellivision label at all right now, so that would at least be a start.

    What are these?

Okay, got the pic. Consider it confirmed, it will be added to the existing titles. This has become quite an extensive list!

    What are these?

Thanks, got the scan. However, I don't think we're going to add it to this group yet until we can confirm it with the box. I suspect that this cartridge style was used by more than one pirate manufacturer. Anyone have a box pic to cofirm this one?

    What are these?

These Taiwan carts do indeed use the Cooper Black font on the end labels. However, they're totally different from the Zellers carts which use a non-serif font and have different packaging (and different titles as well). The cart cases are also different between these and Zellers. So, it might be accurate to call them Cooper Black, but there may be other pirate carts that use Cooper Black with totally different packaging (and maybe a different origin) so I don't know if that's a good solution. The only thing we know is they were made in Taiwan and sold in minor stores.

    What are these?

Cosmic Joke - Got the Boxing, we'll be adding that tonight. I already received Spider, so I don't need that one any more. Joel - Thanks, we will add Donkey Kong and Enduro. If you get a chance to scan any others on the list, that would be great. AtariKari - I've seen Cracker Pet before, but I don't know what company it came from. A box would help, it's almost impossible to tell with loose carts in that style because there were so many pirates. Here is our list online: Taiwanese Pirates So it seems this style was sold in the UK and in North America. We'll be dumping some of the carts we have online to see what video format they are.
  13. Should be okay now, email me if you have any problems with the account.
  14. We ask for 150dpi or higher. We prefer single pages be sent, but we will likely crop and resize them either way, so just send in whatever you have. We will create the thumbnails with a Photoshop action, so don't worry about those.
  15. Hi Stan, That'd be great. Send it on in to [email protected] Thanks!

    What are these?

For anyone curious, here is the list of games in this style that I have pictures of. I've indicated the titles I will be able to scan myself, any other scans will be welcome: Air Wolf Baseball Bermuda Bowling (have scan) Boxing Chess (have scan) Demond Attack Free Way Frogger Ice Hockey (have scan) Mr. Postman Paris Attack Pele's Soccer Pitfall Popeye Puzzled World (have scan) Sea Quest See Saw S.O.S. Spider There are probably more...
  17. I doubt there are any PAL "Zellers" carts. However, Zellers simply sold pirate games under their own name, and those same pirate games were sold in Europe under different branding and in PAL format. So someone in Europe might find a loose cart with the same label as a Zellers cart, but that doesn't make it a "Zellers". They're all just pirates in the end, but this is why the box is so important if you're interested from a collecting standpoint. Here is our Zellers link. Most of them aren't that hard to find in Canada, but it is hard to find most of them boxed. Then of course I've seen other pirate games that used the same red Zellers box, but didn't have the Zellers name printed on the box. What a mess!

    What are these?

Yes, scans please! Hmmm, if those are indeed PAL, that will confuse things even more. Do the carts look identical to the picture I posted, and CosmicJoke's scan?
  19. Alex

    What are these?

We'd prefer the front and back of the box, and the main and end label on the cartridge. AFAIK, these didn't come with a manual as the instructions were printed on the back of the box. 150dpi or higher. What you did would be fine at a higher resolution. Thanks!

    What are these?

Yes, scans would be great! We can tolerate the price tags. Send them to [email protected]

    What are these?

Many of you have seen these pirate carts before, but does anyone know who made them or where they were sold? I believe they're NTSC, made in Taiwan, and sold in North America (exclusively in Canada?). Does anyone have any additional or different info? I've seen some sellers on eBay who appear to have large stocks of these, anyone know where they got them? We're not sure under what name we're going to list these yet. Finally, these are the only four I have available to scan right now, we would welcome more scans or pictures of other titles in this style with the "New" blurb. I've seen "Demond Attack" and "Air Wolf", so we'll also be adding those although I don't have high quality scans. Please note these are different from the StarSoft titles that are in PAL/German without the "New". Unknown pirate games:
  22. Want to point us to some international games we should add? This is the place to do it. It's best if there is a box included, as this often helps identify the company in the case of pirate carts. High quality scans are also welcomed for addition to the database. Remember, you don't have to send in a scan to ensure a game is included, but you do need to point us to a clear picture. If you want to submit any scans, please see our Contribute page. Thanks! 23. A Dutch book on the 2600 days? Can you give me any more info about that? Is it available online anywhere? Anyway, that helps. We'll list them as Puzzy, I should get them ready tonight.
  24. Thanks Eckhard, I'll give it a go. Most of the games in question are not from Brazil, so it should be sufficient. It's more a question of North America vs. Europe. But that's interesting to know, I had no idea Brazil used such a hybrid.
  25. Thank you for the help, Marco. Here is our first stab at Puzzy: Puzzy at AtariAge
