Clearly this "manager" over stepped his boundaries. He probably thought he was performing some civic duty by denying to sell games. As said earlier it seems to be the case that a majority of GameStop employees are arrogant pricks when it comes to anything (although I have met my share of nice ones). I work at a video rental chain and I cannot imagine the flack I would get if I decided that I would not rent to people for not seeing their report card. Parents are called parents for a reason. Just stay out of the way and enforce something worthwhile like not selling Mature games to children if you must focus on something. I wonder if he would deny a kid trying to buy a copy of Math Blaster (Modern Equivalent?) if they did not have their latest report card present.

Interesting. I'm hoping whenever mine comes (The guy is taking his good time) that it works alright. I'm mainly concerned that being early cd tech it could have some problems. I have a few friends who have their original CD/32x's still working and never had a problem. Although I've heard that they can have problems reading the discs and I have also heard quite a bit about interference problems that pop up due to the cable issues and the controller being dirty. Okay so I won an auction for a few bucks for a Sega Genesis 1601 and Sega CD drive. What I need: RF or AV cables compatible with the 1601 Power Cables compatible with the 1601/CD Games for the genesis A few cheaper titles like sports or action and Sonic series (I already have about 40 games so pm me with any you may be willing to part with) Games for the Sega CD Not really sure what to say about this one I know almost nothing about the system and would like to get some games to play with it and more. Certainly. I have seen weird ads but I watched this and thought wow! All that is really missing is a inopportune family member popping in amazed by the 64 bit processing power of the Atari Jaguar. Maybe that would have made more sense than puking or at least the kids grandmother on screen puking would have made more sense. Actually, this commercial would make more sense if you insert Virtual Boy in for Atari Jaguar.

I saw this and remembered the first time I played Cybermorph and how cool it seemed. It really is interesting to look back at where the company ended up today and wonder what happened. As far as I know insulation used for walls qualifies as a unsafe packing material. (It has many restrictions because it can carry asbestos, molds, mildew, bugs, rodents etc) Whoever ships with that material is actually endangering you with their package and it could in a round about way be considered a health hazard and probably open the seller up to numerous legal actions. EDIT: To those who need to send broken items back to get a refund. I've always thought it would be fun to play "Will it blend" with it, then send it back in a little letter envelope. Way back when I did student work on a local newspaper (before sept 11) and we actually shipped a pair of panties, an orange, and a brand new bottle of Raid through the mail. Made for an interesting story. Lots of flack for the local post master as supposedly "none of those could be mailed, let alone without packaging" Wouldn't it be great if you sent them a dvd with you grinding up their (insert poorly shipped item due to ignorance of seller) and then opened up the top of you blend tec blender and said, "(for example) 2600 smoke. ANYBODY EVER BUY A TWIN SYSTEM??? it has both NES/SNES in one system,just wondering about the reliability of them..... I've owned a four or five NES after market system and never had problems with them except for the dual drive one I picked up off ebay. It worked fine for a few weeks then it would start putting lines on the screen when played and messed the colors up. Eventually it up and died on me one day after some ZAMNDN. As for the Jaguar/360 debate the only logical choice to make is the Jaguar. Comparing these two systems is very unequal since they are so very different. As for my personal experience I have had two Jaguars. One was in good shape and worked fine until overheating, the other worked alright but had a bad rf connection and froze up randomly. As for my 360 I have never had an ounce of trouble with it (knocks on wood).

I remember way back when spending my weekly allowance to buy boosters of Arabian Nights and later on Ice age, Mirage, and so on. I miss the early games playing at the mall on weekends. The last time I seriously bought anything was around Marcadian Masq./Invasions. One weekend I even went in with a friend and got a deal from the card shop owner ( 1 Time Twister (worn), 1 Armageddon (worn), and 50 Uncommon/common cards of our choosing) all for about $200. At the time it was a great deal. Certainly gave us a leg up on everyone around my area in tournaments and what not. Although Ohio back then had nothing extreme going on. All in all I sold everything few thousand cards and 2 complete sets of Invasions to the same friend for $300 and a paintball gun. If only I would have sold my cards individually.

Three of the eight things I have recieved from Discount Games have been problematic. One game did not work at all and had to be replaced the others were just the wrong item. Purchased a copy of Black for Xbox and got a copy of Madden 03. Took well over a month to get it and lots of phone calls. DK Oldies is alright. The only problems I ever had was defective Castlevania III. (Sent it back twice!) Took three weeks to get Mike Tyson's Punchout. (Error in shipping.) Other than that they use stock photos and games do have some markings or stickers from time to time. I've gotten games with gouges and chips. The prices are reasonable though.

I remember Zombie Nation. I believe my cousin had it way back when. I've seen it at the local classic game stores for $15-20. I've always wanted to get another copy but its usually in lots or the ebay resellers jack the price up.

Here is a great example of why we do not tick off our girl friends. They tend to do silly things like kick book bags repeaditly while you are out of the room. I didn't notice this until I was looking through my back pack two days later. She said it was my fault but was nice enough to buy me a new GBA.

Friends dad works at a disposal center (aka landfill) and he told me they are constantly getting computers/video games. I asked him what they do with them. "The good stuff like PS2's we sell maybe even Nintendos. The rest gets crushed or compacted. Sad sad story. Even though its not a lot I wish they would give people a chance to save the games.
