  1. Nice I wish that it was worth the effort of arguing about the stickers. It is just as they said above easier not to shop there. Most of the time its one of those if people start buying a lot of it the price gets jacked. He has probably a whole wall full of Atari carts and a few colleco. but I wouldn't buy a single cart because I have no way to test them. They are only $1-$3 but still. Maybe if I saw something sweet like Mr. Do's or other rarer titles.

    Xbox 360

Hey Im looking to trade for a Xbox 360 Here is what I have to trade: Xbox plus 26 game PS2 PSX Sega NES
  5. I have a jag cd game, 2 jag carts, a whole bunch of saturn games, and probably 4 DS games with no consoles.
  6. Yes the carts were loose for $50. Right now he has sealed boxed of Mega Man 64 and Cruisin USA for about $30 a piece. I don't think I'd ever want to buy his sealed boxes. I can just imagine my luck with them, "God dammit! He gave me another freakin copy of Quarter Back Club!"
  7. They do not allow you to test anything in store. They claim everything has been tested before hand. He does have a "If it's dead when you get home I'll probably just jerk you around and claim you tried to put the cart in backwards and give you a buck or two for it so I can rip off another person "clause. I talked to a friend of mine who has been ripped off by this guy and he said he writes, "Pity The Fool" on all the carts and disc he gets from this store that don't work. Had to laugh looking through the Sega gen carts must have been 10-12 of them. Anyway went back got (all PSX titles) a copy of Colony Wars complete for $3, sealed copy of C-12 Final Resistance $3, and copy of Fear Effect supposedly sealed for $3. The Fear Effect was missing disc one when I removed the little sticky seal from the top and the "shrink wrap". I went back in and he through out the clause and how do I know you didn't steal it?! He then said hmm it was sealed maybe Japan forgot to give you one. Oh well I said you know you may be right. Went to the shelf found a copy of Fear Effect and exchanged my copy. (if you know what I mean) Never a dull day.
  8. *Update Ohio* Walked into the same gamestore and looked around. Conker's Bad Fur Day carts are now $50. So are Mario kart, Super Smash Bros, and Donkey Kong. I was looking at other games and it appears he has been hitting the bottle or ebay for prices. Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy Tactics complete for $15 each (not too bad) but they won't let you open it to see if A. the games are inside B. to see if they work. Scored a copy of Mario Party 2 for $8 (it appears someone either spilled pop on it or had their spleen removed on it) Oh well came off with rubbing alcohol works fine. I enjoy going to this store more and more so I can share how unbelievably backward/dense some people are. Visiting this establishment has become a new hobby for me.
  9. Agreed. I really do not know much about systems pre NES age to group them correctly. I updated what I had to include your input.
  10. Maybe rather than naming the era's classic and modern (etc) You should name the eras after the dominate system of the time or event that happened. Pre Crash Era- 2600 and others Atarian Era- Colecovision and 5200 Nintendonian Era- NES, SNES, Sega etc 8-16 bit put early disc systems in here possibly or next era Plasystonian Era- PSX, N64, Jag, (DC? not sure if it fits) No Idea what to call this one Era- Xbox, PS2, Gamecube (Im leaning towards Xbox due to online but its hard to call) Present Era- 360, PS3, Wii you get the idea Now their are flaws as you see with disc systems like the saturn and dc I do not know where to group them. Also you run into problems with deciding how to pick a name for each era. Oh well more for your amusment I suppose. Enjoy.
  11. I always have had problems with Sega. It started with my Saturn. After two years it started loading weird screens and refused to load any games. I ended up trading it in after trying to get it fixed. Then came the Dreamcast. 4 months and it overheated melting itself. (wow 90 day warranty really came in handy) Managed to get another one when I returned it and this one had loading problems out of the box. Warranty work took forever and it worked fine for about 6 months then more trouble. (traded in) Finally my Genesis quit on me about 2 months ago atleast it lasted for awhile.
  12. Awesome site. It was pretty darn good and I found it helpful. That bubbling noise is a tad bit annoying. Some of the links did not work but, it is a minor issue. Other than that keep up the good work, I look forward to visiting the site again.
  13. This is pretty spot on. Over the holidays Overstock.com had them pretty near $320 shipped with coupons. I'd agree that ebay would be the best option right now. Money is tight on my end right now or I would offer on it.
  14. I bid on it to give me something to trade other for. ( I know many people that want it) Considering the world is full of people that will do anything to make a buck, I doubt its a silly question. Who would expect a fake game that is only rarity 8.
  15. Hey I saw this and figured one of you guys would be interested. It says it has a small tear on it, I put two bids in but I have no real interest in collecting for the 2600. I was wondering if it was real? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=150085718508
  16. Local game store around here is run by a complete idiot. Splitstone Entertainmnet. The guy is a jerk and the people that work there are uninterested in any type of service. I wanted to purchase a loose Donkey Kong 64 (sticker said $, Mario Kart ($5), Super Smash Bros. ($10), and a boxed Conker's Bad Fur Day ($10). When I took this all up to the counter I was expecting about $35 for everything tax etc. He told me it was going to be $60. When I pointed out that the prices were on the carts he said "I reckon I can charge whatever price I want." So I haggled for about 10 mins and he told me that boxed copies of games were worth less due to the space they take up in a store. So I left the store with a boxed copy of Body Harvest, Donkey Kong 64, Mario Kart, and WCW/NWO Revenge for $21?! I have no idea what logic this guy works by I turned around and sold the Mario Kart for $15 on ebay. Basically, the majority of these guys (their are exceptions) think that they can charge whatever they want for their games. They have no idea of prices and use ebay as a measure of how much that can sell stuff for. I also hate how 5 different copies of the same game can be in anywhere from mint to poor condition and cost the same. (although it does work to an advantage sometimes)
  17. Yeah I thought my Castelvania III was broken until I tried it in my toaster. The yobo works well with most games that I have and is small and lightweight. The NEX has trouble with River City Ransom. The colors get washed together and it freezes.
  18. I bought a Jaguar and 2 games off of McGrail over the summer and played other games I borrowed from friends. I really did not enjoy it that much and sold it maybe 2-3 months later. My suggestion is sell the system and a few games but possibly hold onto some rarer ones or if you have any complete games. That way you can always use the games to trade for something you want at a later date and keep them in a good home.
  19. I would disagree with the "only thing" part. Yes some of the wrestling games are brilliant but, their are many other awesome games. WCW/NWO Revenge and WM2000 are great games.(Although games like Mayhem and WWF Warzone are not so great) They lack some game play elements but they are still fun. You neglect to mention games like Smash Bros., Conker's Bad Fur Day, Mario Kart, Goldeneye, and a whole slue of others.
  20. I'd attend myself if it were closer. Ohio isn't that far away but I'd be willing to buy a raffle chance to go.
  21. I recently got back into the n64 and it does have a great setup. The games while the graphics now are dated, are still enjoyable. I still have friends over for tournaments with Mario Party, Mario Kart, and Super Smash Bros. Granted some games just suck like Xenia, Mayehm, WWF Warzone, and others. These games are all great Super smash conkers bad fur day body harvest rogue squad mario kart mario party cruise'n usa pilot wings goldeneye wcw/nwo revenge perfect dark
  22. I played Half-Life for the first time in 98 or 99 and that game scared me. Just one thing was scarey(made me jump scarey). Those god damn brain crabs. Those things at the time jumping in the dark and in vents kept me from walking in dark rooms for awhile. Also AvP2 Marine mission #1 no aliens for first 10-12 min of game play. Plenty of pipes dropping out of the ceiling that were shaped like aliens. Made me jump.
