  1. 2 or 3 of Skelly's best games were ported to Vectrex, maybe more. It makes sense though, since he was DA MAN when it came to Vector games, along with Ed Logg, of course. -Ray
  2. I've been to he VGC site tones of times for 2600 games and because of that I seek your opinions first. Because sometimes that guy is right and sometimes he is WAY OFF. -Ray
  3. The only problems I have had havce been carts that don't fit, for some bizare reason or another. But, usually a DUPE of the same game will fit just fine. Other than that it has played everything I've fed it, even Jr. Pac-Man which gave me hell on all but my 7800. My Pitfall 2 works fine. -Ray
  4. Thanks for some of the advice guys. I'm a BIG b-grade horror fan and I think if I stick with this one, it will be worthwhile. -Ray
  5. Whenever I read anything about the Crash, I see that a LOT of companies pushed anything they had out the door in that last year and that most of it was pretty awful. Yet, I haven't encountered anything truly horrific yet. Was there really just tons of TRASH released in 83 and 84, more than any other time? I'm curious as to what you all think. This is an area of history that I am not as sharp on as I'd like to be. -Ray
  6. I wondered about that too. Is it really an official Gamefaqs thing or can any chump submit a Top 10 list -- no matter how uninformed? Oh well, at least he's a chump that plays Atari. Aparently. -Ray

    GORF

Still, it would have been GREAT if any of the home versions would have been complete. Even the C64 one is missing the Galaxians. But, I wonder if the name and likenesses of the Galaxians was even necessary. Much like the 'Invasion from Space" mission, you could have had a board that played like Galaxian, but wasn't Galaxian. Atari or any other company could easily have gotten away with that, I think. -Ray
  8. Yeah, it has what I like to call the "Tempest Factor" about it. It doesn't appear to make much sense, but gameplay comes very instinctively. Before you know it your in total TWITCH Gamer mode and you can't stop. It was probabloy not a game that would have appealled to children, but is catching us now at the right age. -Ray
  9. Thanks to you guys I tried this with a Track ball. It was so much MORE fun. I have to join the bandwagon on this one. The trackball seems like it was made for this game. Did the original arcade game use a trackball? -Ray
  10. I've heard of this episode, but never seen it. The show is Ok, in that man being written the way women wish we really were kind of way. -Ray
  11. I know I found both Secret Quest for the 2600 and Scrapyard Dog for the 7800 in the wild. Not SUPER rare, but it was still nice to be able to buy them on site. Good prices too. -Ray
  12. If this game is anywhere near as fun to play as it is on the Vectrex then I'm certainly sold. Rip Off is a GREAT game. -Ray EDIT Cybergoth: Pointless Fullquote deleted. *Kisses* Love you too, Cybergoth!!
  13. Alright, You've forced me to do this. But, remember, you ASKED for it. The ANSWER to this question... -Ray
  14. FB2 Isn't a completed Aquaadventure on there too? I haven't played mine in a while. But, i think so and I recall it's pretty good. -Ray
  15. Hi all, I have recently been trying to play some old infocom games by way of emulation and I realized that I have forgotten something important to the process. How do you say something to a character in an infocom game? I don't remember how to actually speak to a NPC. Thanks -Ray
  16. Seriously, I could see a lot of great adventure potential in Midnight Mutants. But, that game is ridiculously hard. I figured once I got the knife it would all be golden. But, man its like taking down At AT's in Empire Strikes back in that game. Am I missing something? -Ray
  17. You guys have been mondo helpful so far. Thanks for all the advice , recomendations, and background. -Ray
  18. I suppose you got the right to do whatever you want, but man, sharing that story makes for a a pretty rough mental image... j/k... Maybe his friend is Jessica Biel or Elisha Cuthbert Speaking of, are there any women on this board? I'm not looking for a date, just curious. Somehow I doubt it. At least he didn't say he and his friend went at it Balls Blazing for a good hour. -Ray
  19. I am always so sad that work never got further on the Incredible Hulk game. I'd hav e loved that and I think had it gone into production a bit earlier, the success of the TV show would have really pushed it forward. It is the one game I wish had seen the light of day. How about you? -Ray

    GORF

ThaT'S exactly what the problem was. yes, but no one thought there might be home versions when GORF was first made as an arcade game? Was this game made so far ahead of the VCS? -Ray
  21. Definately Cmmando Raid. Solid graphics, neat idea of the enemeis burrowing underground too. -Ray
  22. I interchangeTwenty-Six Hundred and VCS depending on how often I use one or the other when typing here. Mostly i just refer to it as Atari to regular folks (IE Non-Gamers). -Ray
  23. A very cool game that I only really discovered after coming here. I read about the arcade version in a Tim Skelly Retro Gamer article, but Never really understood the 2600 version at first. But, as I played it more and more I got into it. -Ray
  24. Wasn't that a double episode? I remember watching it as a kid (I even made that robot out of LEGO). I believe there was another (double) episode in which that robot (or another model) returned. Wasn't there some kind of saw blade inside that robot that could come out? Come to think of it: I also remember watching an episode in which Steve had to battle with some kind of Yeti. It made a huge impression on me. I really wish I could see these episodes again. Check out John Delancie's cameo at the end of Death probe Part 2. -Ray
