    Earlier I mentioned getting a four port 5200 system complete in the box, but nothing on the controllers seemed to work. I have been using the two good controllers from my 2 port system on it with great success and decided today to try and see if the pencil eraser trick would work on the 2 dead controllers. Upon pulling the bezels over the start pause and reset buttons, I quickly found out why these controllers were not working. The flex circuits under both bezels were smashed over toward the left firing buttons and the this had broken the circuits. I am afraid to see what everything else looks like. Looks like someone opened these controllers up and then just mashed them back together. What a mess! :x

    Tips

     

    LarcenTyler:

    -When you encounter the hunchbacks, wait untill they're about to jump, then move back so they're off the screen. If done right, they will disappear.

     

    -It sounds like common sense, but timing your jumps is critical, since there are many times an enemy can hit you, throwing your jump off balance, and possibly into a pit.

     

    -When dealing with Medusa Heads, wait untill they swoop down, then move forward over them. Don't waste your time trying to whip them all, as more will come after you. The only exception is if you need to make a jump, in which case you should whip one and then jump.

     

    -When taking on the bosses, these are my recommendations for which special weapon to use:

     

    Giant Bat: Axe

     

    Queen Medusa: Use the stopwatch then whip her repeatedly

     

    Mummies: Dagger

     

    Frankenstein and Igor: Holy Water/Fire Bomb (whatever you want to call it.)

     

    Grim Reaper: Axe

     

    The Count: Boomerang

     

    AXE FOR THE BAT- HOLY WATER FOR MEDUSA- HOLY WATER FOR MUMMY TWINS- HOLY WATER OR FRANKENSTEIN AND EGOR- AND HOLY WARTER FOR THE GRIM REAPER TOO, HE WONT EVEN HURT YA,

     

     

    If you want to go the cheap way out with the mummy twins stand on the left edge after they activate and whip whip whip,

     

    THE COUNT BOOMERANG OR HOLY WATER IF YOU CAN HOLD OFF TILL THE HIDDEN MONSTER APPEARS.

     

    I PLAN TO SET A POINTS WORLD RECORD THIS WEEK THE SCORE ROLLS AT 999,999

    I have been thinking of hacking Lily Adventure into a new Pit Fall, maybe calling it Pit Fall III?

     

    I found Lily her feet do move so I know it animates at least two frames, So I only found so far one frame of her and I think I found her color too. I also found the Teddy bears and the turtles and that weird worm or plant thing too.

     

    But if there is no way to make it have limited lives and limited time I may lose interest.

     

    Besides I would like to get rid of that music too or change it if I could.

     

    Just letting you in on what I'm tossing around in my mind.

     

    It will be a big hack maybe bigger then my Tom Boy hack?

    PS. Please let me know what you think, should I continue this hack or drop it, I don't think there is a way to lose in this, yes you do start back at the beginning of the screen you are on if you lose a man, but you seem to have an infinite supply? So please let me know?

     

     

     

    New changes changed the bird into a bat like in Pitfall II

    Changed those things that looked like giant slugs into rolling logs like in Pitfall

    Changed the Alligators to look much more like in Pitfall

     

    At this time I can not find anymore colors other than Pitfall Harry I want to change the logs to brown.

     

    I may change those apes into Scorpions don't know I do like the apes though.

    Yes I had no idea there was anything more to the game than that opening part in the graveyard.

     

    So I agree with you fully, I never made it past that part to know there was anything more to it than that. I tried it a few times and every time I said what the heck am I suppose to be doing, nothing seems to be happening. So every time I gave up and put on something I liked playing.

    The only other game I can think of is some Pancake game where you are suppose to eat pancakes I guess to win?

     

    It is said there were thousands of games made for the system but I never saw that many, I have over a thousand but that includes a lot of hacks.

    You should give Ghost manor another try, it only takes a few seconds to get past the opening scene, just chase the ghost around the graveyard and touch him 25 times than it switches to the inside of the Manor and the game becomes more fun at that point.

     

    I plan to release HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL to the board on FRIDAY THE 13th

     

    Looks like gene wilder hahahahah :)
