  5. By what algorithm are the checksum bytes generated? Here is a basic program to run the OS checksum from basic. http://www.atariage...._1#entry2007564 First checksum is the first two bytes of the OS and the seccond checksum is near the end of OS. If you do this on an Emulator the patches need to be turned OFF (i.e) SIO,PRINTER,H:DRIVER. This program just calculates the proper checksum, but does not patch the OS.
  6. Larry which files are you looking for inside the ATR. Atadim works nice for viewing ATR directory. Before Windows 7 and 64bit OS, I used XDIRLIST from Command prompt and I created a LOCATE.TXT file on root of C:\ regards,
  7. Yes the Atari needs to be connected for power managment. Unless and you didn't state that the 1050-2-PC was powered seperately.
  8. Basic is built in, IO noise with no boot device, is normal.
  9. This thread may have an answer for you at Post #5. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/162258-adding-music-to-basic-programs/page__p__2000368?do=findComment&comment=2000368 CMC format.
  10. ok I have made my own pigtail for use with 800xl. +5V on outer ring, taking 5V from joystick port, pin 7, GND not connected. On the front joystick port 320XL RAM works ok, but on the back joystick port the 320XL Ram locks up. QUESTION Is 5V on pin 7 for each joystick port.?
  11. AtrUtil+XRAM021.COM=XRAM21.ATR I couldn't find any ART work.
  12. The only thing I could find named ATmas is this pdf file. ATasm (106).pdf Cross compiler stuff.
  13. Well since I got s-video finally I bought a nice LCD TV with s-video in and RCA audio. I checked it and all works very good, and now I have stored it away with a my 130xe and xf551, top shelf in garage. Now my Wish is to live long enough to eventually need to take it out of storage. I still use my 1200xl and SIO2SD, with a 1702 monitor, for day to day use, gaming and what not.. I does seem as if all my wishes for atari has come to light. With all the newest hardware possiblities. AND Retrobrighting. I am hoping for the Pizza Box top with external keyboard will be soon fullfilled. Nice thread.
  14. I If I I R Remeber C Correctly
  15. This is the newest version: http://drac030.krap.pl/si221.arc
  16. A few years ago, I bought a lot of Atari 800 stuff off eBay. It came with a 9.5V AC power supply with a gigantic plug that doesn't seem to properly fit the jack on the 800 (or anything else). Any idea what this might be for? Thanks again! One of the Atari Printers uses a really large plug.
  17. Hope I'm not keeping you awake. Ctrl+; only works if you have extended banks. With MyDOS, you must have a RAMdisk filling the extended memory. With SDX, you must not. This is as designed. The colour changing situation must be down to your eyes. The colours generated with the CTRL+K routine are the usual Atari ones. (YawN) was in reference to your Question about the YES OR NO prompt. Another small glitch---------- after loading SYSINFO and using CNTL+T the columns showing BYTES WORDS are driving on the wrong side of the street.
  18. Open a command prompt at Folder: ren *.a26 *.bin
  19. The peek addresses you speak about are updated by OS, not by TBXL. So if you have an NTSC Atari, they get updated at 60 Hz. You probably meant not peek 18-20, but the TBXL pseudovariable TIME$, right? yes that is what I meant. I have a basic clock routine that doesn't keep the time, but it use to back when I was using my blackbox and harddrive. I found the program it patch TBXL so now I have to get it into an atr an on my SIO2SD.
  20. NAA just kidding I got mine today also, but I have no camera except and old Poloroid that kicks out a picture from the back.
  21. (YawN) CNTL+; generates a not found on my 800xl with MyDOS, but works fine with SDX not to whine but the color changing with CTRL+K just never hit a color combo that I like, but I can set colors in the CFG file that looks great. MUST BE MY (.)(.) are not as sharp or my version of s-video is different. PS the post got here today with my 600xl mem expansion from the 320 RAM thread.
  22. I have read somewhere that Turbobasic 1.5 could be Americianized so that the peek address at 18, 19, & 20 will update at 60hz instead of 50hz. Would any of the current versions already be converted, or do I have to convert my own file. TIA
  23. I have read somewhere that Turbobasic 1.5 could be Americianized so that the peek address at 18, 19, & 20 will update at 60hz instead of 50hz. Would any of the current versions already be converted, or do I have to convert my own file. So much talk recently about Turbobasic [GAME] programming. I just had to ask.
  24. with the EMU the scroll up seems not to work, ala CNTL+up arrow, but SHIFT+up arrow jumps to top of screen. Should add also this only happens after CNTL+K to set screen colors.
  25. All of the EMU patches need to be turned off to get disk I/O as the Hias patchrom program effects the EMU sio. And to also get the proper CHKSUM for the upper half of rom and the lower half of the rom. I posted a basic program resently that will read the STORED CHKSUM and the NEEDED CHKSUM. i did this a lot back before I got a SIO2SD drive, getting the MyIDE internal interface stabalized. But there was so many patches and upgrades to MyIDE that it was annoying to pull the OS out everytime a new patch was OFFERED. But now that the HIspeed SIO patch is finallized. I have done all the MyIDE and version 3 xl/xe OS ROM with reverse basic and screen color.------------I might do the key repeat rate also.
